"EDIT AFTER RESPONSE: Thanks for the response and I will call. Additional frustration: Found that my new Practice doesn't need to see me each month to refill my script, like Encompass tried to tell me even though the Dr. I had prior didn't require that. Maybe my assumption of it being a billing tactic was correct. I am not fond of leaving reviews for places I want to give a low review to, but I feel people should have the opportunity to know before trying this place. So I will lay out my full experience. I missed 2 appointments. The first time I called to let them know ahead of time, but they didn't keep record of my call. About a year later I had an appointment that I missed due to an emergency at work, and I didn't call ahead of that one, but I did text the Dr. after the fact and apologized to the Dr. personally and inform of what had happened. I scheduled an appointment for yesterday and even did it by calling in last Friday; I spoke to them on the phone to set the appointment. They had me come all the way in, just to tell me that they dropped me from their practice because I had broken their policies of no call no show. Now I have driven to an appointment to get turned away, and my prescription is out. Wow, what terrible customer relations/service. My observation is that the customer service side of this place does not see its patients as customers and provide customer service to us. They have the attitude that they are above their customer, and the customers are to conform to their way, this was apparent just by sitting in the waiting room and observing the interactions with patients, the phone calls with patients and others, and the quiet conversations I heard the ladies behind the desk have about those of us in the room, or that they had been dealing with on the phone; I overheard several conversations in that room, which I'm sure those ladies had no idea I heard, which I would fire my employees over if they did in ear shot of our customers. While a patient, they also would not work with me to help figure out why my insurance was not paying them. For a year or two, my insurance was paying and I was only paying a copay, but one day they didn't. I asked several times for help in getting my insurance stuff figured out, but they basically told me they couldn't do anything about it, that I would have to take that up with my insurance company. I paid Encompass, and am happy to be done with them and only have to work to see if I can get it worked out with my insurance provider. Encompass must be short handed or other problems in billing and customer service, because their customer service was always sub par. When setting up with a new practice, I told them what had happened so they knew why I was wanting to be set up with them. When they heard me say Encompass, they said you don't have to say much more than that, we get many people coming here with bad stories about them. If it weren't for the treatment yesterday, I wouldn't have written a review. I can deal with a lot of screw ups, as long as the people I hire (like encompass or any other service I pay) can work with me to correct issues, because issues happen. I could tell the lady that had to tell me was nervous after she spent several minutes in the back, talking to someone about it. She came back to me and told me I couldn't be seen, I asked if there was any way, she said no, so I kindly smiled, confirmed I would have to go somewhere else, told her thanks, and left. I kept calm and quiet the whole time, and tried to keep a smile. I feel bad for her, I bet most people blow up on them when they fire a customer."
"My previous physician had left the practice and I was reassigned to another with the group. It was still less than a year since my presidium appointment but needed a refill on a prescription. The pharmacy had faxed a request 4x without any response. When I called they told me I needed to find a new physician. I stated that I’d received a letter stating that I’d been reassigned. The staff person told me that it would be over a year before I’d be able to be seen and therefore get a renewal for my medication so I would need to find someone else. I wasn’t excited when my previous doctor had joined this practice and must have been a reason they left. They obviously can’t handle observing the patient load and if this is how they take care of patients I will also be sure not to find another within the Encompass Medical Group at all."
