Urgent Care, Creekwood Family Care

"The staff were great!!! The receptionist was super friendly. The nurse that entered vitals was super friendly and professional. Then comes in the doctor... (using words to keep from getting flagged on google here on). THE most condescending, unprofessional doctor I have seen in all my years. Constant drone of berating and condescending comments. Even if some sound advice was in there, it is lost in the delivery and passive aggressive remarks. Her comparison of my insurance to other people's was inappropriate and rude."

"Went in because I am having a muscles pain that impacts range of motion and regular activities. Was hoping I could get a muscle relaxer or pain medicine that would help. Couldn't even be seen. Front desk turned me away said they couldn't help and that I would need to go to the ER. I explained I couldn't afford the ER hence why I went to urgent care and the response was still "sorry we can't help" not 1 person was in the lobby waiting and yet I can't even get seen or talk to a doctor."

"I have not actually been to this urgent care, but I was planning on going there with my daughter last week. I put her in line via her MyChart portal. Within minutes, they called and recommended I take her immediately to the KU urgent care downtown as she would likely need an x-ray which they are unable to do at this location. Sure enough, she did need an x-Ray. If they had not called, we likely would have been in the ER that night as we checked in 30 minutes before the urgent care closed. I am so appreciative they took the time to call instead of waiting for us to get there to tell us we needed to go elsewhere."

"I took my 1yr old son to the urgent care as I had suspected he had strep. The front desk told me they don't typically see children that young because they don't have the equipment but they saw him anyway. The nurse practitioner was very thorough with her exam and the nurses I encountered were very nice."

"Website states "walk-ins" welcome, I went to check in at the front desk. Receptionist asked how she could help and I stated that I needed to take a covid test. She told me that I could not get that done here. When I asked for clarification, she stated that only people who are sick can get a test done at their urgent care. She did not ask if I had symptoms (which I do) but went back to her computer screen. Not sure if this is normal? Urgent Care centers that welcome walk-ins, but when there are no patients in sight, will not take a paying customer to have a quick covid test taken? Disappointing..."
