Reviews of St. Luke's Rehabilitation Hospital
"St. Luke’s rehab hospital did a great job with rehabbing my mother’s knee after replacement surgery. Hope to visit them again soon when she does the second knee. Special thanks to Mary, Michelle and Ann."
"This is my second time. Each day was excellent care from the OT‘s PT’s ST. All the staff was there to help you in any situation. My only improvement would be for the patience to check on medication’s versus the medication list that they have been on before coming in. It was a joy to see each therapist there enthusiasm for you to get better. They had a careful eye on all that you were doing to make sure you were doing it correctly. I will also add the rooms were private, and had excellent views when you need your time to rest. I highly recommend."
"Posting for AM, spouse was recent patient at SLRH: Everybody was very courteous there. They made sure my husband was doing good and his needs were met. PT and OT were great! They worked hard with him to get him back home. Thanks for everything that was done for my husband - our whole family is very grateful!"
"My dad was a patient at St. Luke's Rehabilitation Hospital for six weeks after suffering a stroke. I'll begin with the positives. The therapists there work well with the patients and help them move towards independence. They develop relationships and trust with the patient and this allows progress to be made. The case manager assigned to my dad was our go to person. She got answers and things done! If we needed something we called her. She was compassionate, effective, and really cared. The negatives....the nursing and most definitely the tech staff. Most of the nurses behaved as if my dad was a burden and not a patient. The techs were LAZY and not interested in caring for my dad.The techs would make rude comments about him. They did not want to follow the orders of the therapists, and would complain about doing their job. My dad would lay for hours in wet or soiled pants because the staff couldn't be bothered to check on him, even if he had pressed his call button. I wouldn't take anything of value there either, as a few days in my dad's cell phone charger was stolen, as well as a few other items. No one there cared about that. Upon dad's discharge we were given no instructions. We just signed the discharge papers and they walked out of the room and that was it. We would not select St. Luke's Rehab again. Our experience was disappointing because we had heard so many good things about it."
"My 82 year old Mom was accepted into a 2 week rehabilitation program at St. Luke's, following a 10 day hospitalization elsewhere that had depleted her strength and hugely impacted her ability to walk, even with her walker. The facility is lovely, with bright, spacious, sunny rooms, and the staff are patient and caring. My family and I were particularly impressed by the occupational and physical therapists who worked with my Mom for 3 hours daily during her 2 week stay. They basically retrained Mom how to walk, get up from a bed or chair, and to handle most of her self-care needs. In addition to helping Mom, the therapists also taught us how we can best assist, by helping when needed but not "taking over" and doing everything FOR her. Mom was discharged yesterday; her strength is back, her gait is so much better, and she has reclaimed much of her independence. Sending a huge thank you to Kelsie, Tali and Terri for your kindness and patience, and for helping Mom so much. St. Luke's Rehab Hospital was a wonderful choice."
