"I was hospitalized due to severe sleep deprivation and consequently went into a psychosis during post partum. I was working night shift and getting off of work at 3 o’clock in the morning and taking care of a new born baby with inadequate child care assistance and support which caused me to run on very little sleep. I was automatically wrongfully diagnosed without any screenings, held down against my will and given anti-psychotic drugs that caused dystonia immediately. Look it up if unfamiliar, I’m still traumatized to this day. Those drugs kill many and cause permanent brain damage to others. I was put on a psychiatric hold and held here against my will for close to a month despite not having any issues after getting adequate sleep the following night after being admitted. I watched individuals here who’d been turned into human cash cows with permanent brain damage beg for sleep meds, food, water and other basic necessities. I don’t eat meat of any kind, informed them of this and was forced to eat turkey sandwiches. A male nurse laughed after he seen me break and finally eat the sandwich after staving due to not being provided plant based options. I was told by a nurse those people would die there and I better do what I was told if I didn’t want to. The nurses I remember particularly are Deanna and Bee. Deanna forced me to take medicine against my will after asking to be taken off of the saline IV that I was on non-stop for almost a month that was shooting my blood pressure through the roof, causing kidney stones, and excessive fluid retention that caused my feet, hands, and face to swell unprecedentedly. Bee forced me to take medication after telling her I’d like to request a new nurse due to being spoken to and treated condescendingly. She stated “Since you want to act up, take this. If not I’ll call security, I don’t have time.” I still have night mares from this traumatic experience. I wouldn’t recommend coming here to save my life literally. They are devoted to doing the opposite!"
"The hospital is quick and the staff is friendly and kind but I called to try and get a doctor’s note for work since I was in a car wreck Friday night (late I might add) and was told the soreness would get worse before it got better. Monday morning comes and I am extremely sore. I called for the doctor’s note and was told that since it’s been more than two days, I can’t get a doctor’s note; even though I don’t work on the weekend and was told by the doctor that my pain would get worse over the next few days. Just a upsetting thing to be told when it’s hard for me to go to work and I can’t even get a doctor’s note."
"ER nurses and Dr. SO are great. Nurse Megan and Kaila also great. Floor nurse Shelby sucks, she has no empathy and won't even make eye contact, and lack of follow up. Also on the bad list Ortho consult, we are going on 26 hours waiting for Ortho. Completely unacceptable. The only reason we had to stay overnight is because of Ortho and at this rate looks like will be another day waiting on a MRI and them to read the results. Theresa the floor manager is top notch and is finally making things happen."
"If you got the choice…run. When I was a kid they misdiagnosed and missed a broken bone. My mother had the wrong foot operated on there. My father lost use of his arm due to mistakes made in rehab and surgery there. Every friend I’ve had that’s gone there has been misdiagnosed. Most recently went in with my pregnant wife complaining of possible labor pains. We were told she had an infection, sent home with some meds and told to call the OB. Turns out they messed up, she was in preterm labor and now we’re delivering at 22 weeks with small chances of survival because they missed her dilation. We will never visit this place again, they’re completely incompetent and have been for years. As an update - our daughter was born and unfortunately passed shortly after her birth. Every other health care professional was SHOCKED that they didn’t do a pelvic exam and concluded that my wife wasn’t in labor and wasn’t dilated. Not one but no less than 5 other doctors confirmed that there was no way she couldn’t have been dilated and presented her symptoms. To add salt to the wound they sent us a bill and kept calling to try and have her come back for follow ups. Thanks to Belton Regional we now have to bring our child home in an urn. Do not go here."
"I had the best experience of any hospital I've ever had to go to at this hospital. They were kind, informative, thorough, and quick. Even my stay was filled with great patient advocates, and nursing staff. I wish they had more equipment so I wouldn't have to be transferred to another hospital for some scans for care. Which is the only reason I have to find a new ER to use."
