"Tl:dr Advent has a broken billing system and has had it for well over one year, if not longer. Broken billing system is what they told me, not my assumption. They do not respond to the email they provide in response to these reviews. Read the reviews and you’ll see a theme. The doctor and nurses were fantastic. However, their billing office messed up my insurance claim despite the fact I asked about it multiple times prior to my procedure. I have now been billed over $4,000 for a claim my insurance denied. I’ve followed up multiple times with Advent to find out what’s happening. After being bounced around to several billing offices (whatever that means!), I was finally told behind the scenes things are happening. What does that mean???? My insurance states they’ve heard nothing from Advent. Advent will share nothing with me about MY medical bill. Meanwhile, I have an over $4,000 bill. I was told prior to my procedure they have bad billing system that cannot accurately predict valid cost estimations. I had asked for one before my procedure. I was told this is a known issue. Turns out it’s been occurring for well over A YEAR. Obviously they have major billing issues all the way around. Evidently their approach is to blindside their customers (yes, customers, not patients) with outrageous bills that they failed to process correctly. Whether the failure was due to incompetent staff or a known broken billing system who knows. I’ve also asked how to escalate the fact their billing office gave me incorrect information. No response. Too bad this place drives people away with corporate profit driven greed when they genuinely have some great medical professionals on staff. P.S. Their response to these reviews claiming to care about customer experiences is performative and a PR move. I’ve asked in private how to address these concerns with no response. Look at reviews for all of their locations. Billing is a common theme. They admitted to me they know they have billing issues, yet they continue to incorrectly bill to the detriment of the their customers they claim to care so much about."

"Went in for a CT scan. Everyone was very nice and the tech even gave me a warm blanket which was awesome. I was in and out within a half hour, start to finish. I would absolutely recommend AdvebtHealth Lenexa."

"Overall my experience in the ER was very positive. Doctors and nurses treated me very well and I would go back again for the service. BUT the ct machine wasn’t working at advent health Lenexa and I was told my ambulance bill would be covered when they moved me to a different advent hospital that had a workin ct. But one year later I got the ambulance bill they told me to call the health advocate. I haven’t talked to a real person in over a year and I’m stuck paying the bill."
