"What a fantastic place. A little disappointed I didn't have a chance to check out the bar, but if I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely rent a room here. Perfect location, lovely view, lots of bars/restaurants in walking distance. The trail along the river was awesome."
"Very nice clean rooms that overlook the Missouri River. Historic Elijah' McClain house right next door. This is a great place to stay and located a couple blocks from downtown and the riverfront."
"Great location with plenty of good parking. That’s really where the positives end. We had a ground-level room. The window had adequate curtains, but the door window (only had slat-blind) & the window above the door (only had frosted contact-paper type covering) allowed so much bright light in at night it was impossible to sleep. TV had two remotes (Roku & cable) - not real clear explanation as to use; we couldn’t access cable. We went next door to Elijah’s Limited for cocktails & a light dinner. They were out of, or no longer served, several menu items, so we chose the ‘build a charcuterie board’. I had to grab it all myself except the board. I had to open each cheese & summer sausage item & cut them with an inadequate forked utensil. My advice would be, if changing food suppliers, don’t wait until you run out of so many items before making the switch. The couple next door to us walked into the Limited and right back out. Wish we had, too. Over $70 for a couple of drinks, meat, cheese and crackers. Not a place we’ll return to."
"I hate giving this place 3 out of 5 stars because you can see they put a lot of effort into this place. I had rented the room for two nights yet we had to leave after the first night. There was no way to contact the office in an emergency my mother didn't have a mobile phone and I had dropped mine and broke it earlier that day. We had a frightening experience, a man tried entering our room, twice on our first night stay. I had to physically keep the door from being opened. I feel it was probably another guest who was a little intoxicated and just had the wrong room, yet for 90 year old woman this was very frightening. There's no doubt it was scary but I do definitely think it was just another guest the thought of not being able to reach the office was the scariest of all. The place is gorgeous. The rooms are spacious, very maintained, containing a refrigerator, microwave and a television with a lot of channels available for guests, although there's no directions on which remote or how to access channels. I definitely recommend some kind of directions should be posted as well as how to reach someone in an emergency after hours, we found this very frustrating. We did visit the bar drinks are stiff and a bit overpriced $20.19 for a rail Tom Collins and a Bloody Mary. The staff was wonderful, the bar beautifully decorated, as well as the rest of the Inn. There are no phones whatsoever in the rooms. This beautifully restored building is breathtaking and perfectly located within walking distance to almost everything. The Inn, overlooks the water and is beautifully lit at night, it's a beautiful place. I most definitely think it's safe and this was a freak accident. I would definitely return and when I come to Augusta again this is where I will stay. I felt the price per night was reasonable, it is a little higher price than other places but when you get there you see why. There's ample parking and minimal stairs. I loved that there was no keys for check in. I was emailed my passcode to enter the room, it was very easy to find and very easy to access the room."
