"My mom has been a resident there about a month and she is liking it so far. The staff (especially the director - Amanda) is so very kind. She’s answered every question and request. The staff seems to love my mom which is reassuring and calming. It’s hard to see your parents have to move but having them somewhere you trust is number one priority. I am so thankful for the staff caring for her."
"When I had an interview here, I seriously thought it was something I would have really wanted. However, I will NEVER know because the lady who conducted the interview (named Amber) NEVER returned my email! I thought it was EXTREMELY rude of her to NOT show any courtesy, to even let me know if I got the job or not. It just kind of gave me an idea of what kind of company this is, and therefore would NOT want to work for someone like that."
"My mother was here for a month and then we moved her to another facility so she could ideally get more rehab hours in elsewhere. There were some positives: she liked the food, and there were a handful of staff that were really good to her. Their case manager was also very good to work with. The issue however came to their inconsistency of staffing. Sometimes pills were delivered hours late. She also required two aides to move her which meant she had to anticipate at least thirty minutes before she’d want out of bed. Her last few days there were very bad-waiting hours if certain staff wasn’t on shift to help. If they got admissions at night she’d also be waiting hours, often times in soiled undergarments. They also somehow damaged two of her toenails using a lift that I had to be notified of by a family member and not the facility. They are also short staffed on housekeeping. I’d see med cups or trash sitting on her floor for days. They do have some good staff here but you can tell they’re getting burnt out by the bad and/or leadership. On my mother’s last day an agency nurse working told her she should be glad she’s getting out of there. I couldn’t with a good conscious recommend this location."
"Please, please, PLEASE do not bring your family members here and please, do not work here. I worked here for 2 years and watched the company cut staff severely and watched as the in-house managers blamed the employees for poor performance instead of their money-hungry bosses. I watched as a nurse was told to "manage her time better" when the workload was doubled to the point it was almost impossible to keep up. Management doesn't know how to communicate to those who actually worked and did their best to care for the residents and whenever the lack of communication and staffing was brought up, we were shut down. The DON is disrespectful and slimy and the ED is just straight up disrespectful. Every friend that I made there left because of poor staffing and poor treatment from management."
"My mother was a patient in their rehab program. The care provided her left a lot to be desired. Apparently there is no housekeeping staff, so during her 12-day stay, her trash was emptied once, her bedding was NEVER CHANGED (even though we requested it several times), her floors were not swept or mopped at all, her bathroom was not cleaned at all, fresh towels and toilet paper had to be begged for, several of her regularly scheduled medications were withheld periodically, and my biggest concern was that it would take sometimes up to 5 HOURS for a call light to be answered by staff. Thankfully, my mother was mostly independent and required very little assistance. However, because of this, I would be terrified to ever place a family member in the care of this facility if they were not self-sufficient. The meals provided typically included cold sandwiches and cold canned soup. The physicians that work with this facility had very sporadic hours, which made it difficult to address any new issues that arose. In terms of their therapeutic staff (physical and occupational therapy), the care provided was sufficient. Also, there were 2 night nurses that did provide very good care. The facility itself is fairly nice, the rooms are spacious and they are single occupancy. However, unless this place has a major overhaul in their standards of care, I would highly recommend you consider other placements for your loved ones."
