"I love Lone Jack and I am a descendent of James Hiram Long, but...after attempting to get a human (not robot) by phone for a week, I relied on the website which stated it would be open from 1:00-4:00 today. (Sunday, 10/15/2023) My children had flown in from Wyoming late Saturday. The following day, we drove from Springfield, 2-1/2 hours there and 2-1/2 hours back. Inspite of sign on door confirming museum was opened on this date, it was not. Very disappointed. This the reason I have given a low star review."
"This was great, we enjoyed it , the history of this area was fascinating,,,dioramas were well done,,I'm going back for the escape room in November"
"My family and I do the escape room every year, and they never cease to amaze. You would think there's only so much you can do in a 2 room building, but they do an amazing job. The museum is set up well also. The people there are very warm and personable as well. Highly recommend"
"Great little museum specific to the actual events dealing with the Battle of Lone Jack. Informative and well kept."
"Don't let the size fool you, there is a lot of history packed into this uniquely round building! The attendant was VERY informative and gave us a lot of tidbits not found in history books. My 9 year old really enjoyed seeing all the old weaponry, and the dioramas gave a more detailed look at life during the civil war."
