"Definitely a disappointing and disheartening experience. I bought crutches so I could get through the front door to be checked out. I suffered an acute knee injury the night before (embarrassingly trying to stand up from sitting on the floor). I felt my whole knee shift around and haven’t been able to extend it or put any amount of weight on it since because of the pain. I reached out to an orthopedic doctor and he recommended going to the urgent care since it happened on the weekend and they would be able to see me immediately. I was hoping to get answers on care or maybe an idea of what was going on, but that didn’t happen. I was told that basically since I didn’t have a fall or traumatic injury, that I can’t be seen on the weekend. I guess what happened the night before wasn’t acute enough, or merited being called a real injury (sure feels real). I hope the two people sitting in the otherwise empty lobby at least got the care they needed."

"Treated very nicely. Was checked in promptly upon arrival. The nurse, X/ray Tech and the PA that saw me in the office was very understanding and seemed as though they genuinely cared and wanted to resolve my issues. As my husband sat waiting for me he noticed the Receptionist was very positive and friendly and told them so on our way out of the office! Very accommodating and KCOI should be very proud to have the staff they have!"

"All went well until I went to get X-rays. I assume the X-rays were able to be read okay but I have never had them done so quickly. Seemed to me I was still moving when she took them. Hopefully I am wrong. The nurse and PA I saw were great at their job! The receptionist was good, too."

"When taken to x-ray the waiting area was very full but I was there less than 10 minutes! I was impressed. I felt well taken care of and the PA listened and was very helpful. KCOI is that only place I go even with it being a drive to get too."
