"I have taken my daughter to this playground at Antioch Park several times and we always have a good time. There are several playgrounds of various size and varying playground equipment spread out over a good portion of the park. Even when there are many children, I felt comfortable with my 2 year old running around (with me not too far). The other parents who bring their kids to the playground are also friendly and supervise their children so you only have to supervise yours. I don't give it 5 starts because for my 2 year old daughter, there wasn't much designed for her age/size range, which held her attention for long."
"Great park with a loop around a small lake, short trails, courts for sports, picnic tables by the lake, and a big playground! I always enjoy the community at this park, everyone is super nice and wants to pet the dogs. I’ve seen tons of baby ducks here, just sayin."
"This is a beautiful park in Merriam, Kansas. It’s a great spot to enjoy a bit of nature without needing to leave the city. It’s a peaceful area and it had two decent sized ponds, both had walking paths and benches around them. There is many places to have a picnic or just sit down and relax and take in some fresh air. We saw a duck, lots of geese, a box turtle, robins and a hawk on our short visit. The park is not small but not massive, so you can walk around and see everything in about an hour I’d say. There is lots of paved walking paths but also some trails in a wooded section with a creek running through it. Just beautiful. There is covered pavilions/gazebos for picnics or hanging out. Fishing is allowed in the ponds and it said they were stocked with largemouth bass and catfish. If you want to experience a slice of nature without leaving the metro this is your place. Easily one of the nicest city parks I’ve been to in Johnson County. Good job Merriam! I will be back in springtime for a picnic with the girlfriend for sure."
"Really nice place for a walk or two take the kids! It's will kept and had plenty of parking. Really nice for an afternoon out."
"A perfect place to walk...with beautiful and relaxing views...the pond in recent years has been low on water, also if you want to start your children fishing it is an excellent place...since it has many bluegill for practice, just remember something, the fish in this place is not suitable for consumption... catch and release... I hope you can visit it."
