"We stayed at the Charles during our wedding weekend so that we could be close to the Dome, our venue. (Look it up. You won't be sorry.) The house was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and we were well accommodated. The beds were very comfortable, and it had a homey feel to it."

"I stayed here for nearly two weeks after starting a new job in St. Joseph until I found a permanent place to live and it was fabulous! The home was lovely, the bedroom and bed were very comfortable and it was very warm upstairs during an extreme cold-spell. The house had every amenity, the home was fully stocked with groceries and everything needed to do laundry, iron clothes, cook food, full-kitchen, bath supplies, and only a short 5 minute walk to downtown restaurants and attractions. The property manager couldn't have been more helpful. I was without a vehicle and she gave me several rides around town whenever I needed them and could not have been more pleasant. Overall, one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed at. First rate!"

"I stayed here this past weekend during the Bluegrass Battles Hunger festival and I loved it! My whole group loved it, in fact. It was so nice and comfortable. The B and B has so much character and the owners have taken really great care of it! It was clean, walking distance to shops and restaurants and they even helped us out with our special needs for the weekend. Overall we loved The Charles and would recommend it to anyone. We look forward to staying there on our next visit!"

Many guests have enjoyed the 13 nearby museums and learning about US history. We enjoy hosting folks who are getting married in nearby churches, having family reunions or just on vacation."

"What a wonderful place to stay! It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved that it had a beautiful kitchen and washer and dryer. Everyone had their own room and the central air conditioning worked very well! Just a great place for the family to be all together under one roof. I would stay here again in a heart beat!"
