"Had a problem with my gas fireplace after moving to a different house. Asked a plumber friend who recommended HMI. They let us know it would be about six weeks before they could come out for service. Ian came today for a service visit. He did a cleaning, diagnostics, fixed a wiring issue, and installed a remote. We're all good to go now! Ian was professional, courteous, and explanatory."

"Purchased and installed a high end wood stove a few years ago. after 1 1/2 years we had a bad leak through the roof. We were told that HMI wasn't responsible and they referred us to someone to repair it. After that person resealed it last year, it is now leaking again. Another company evaluated the install job recently, and deemed it improper. Now we have $6,000 in costs and a water-damaged stove and floor."

"I saw this store while en route to another business to look at wood stoves. I wasn't familiar with HMI, but was glad I stopped. There was only one employee when I entered. He was busy writing at the checkout counter and it took him a few minutes to acknowledge my presence. I didn't mind as l wasn't ready to make a purchase. I just wanted to look at options for my hearth. As I started to browse, the employee left the counter to ask how he could assist. First, I have to say that it was nice to talk to an employee who knows about the products he is selling. Second, even after learning there wouldn't be a sale, the employee was willing to share what he knew about configuring an insert for my type of fireplace. Actually, he seemed interested in ensuring whatever I purchased would be safe for my home. The HMI store in Nixa wasn't particularly large, so I appreciated the many types of fireplace inserts and hearths on display. Every inch of the store was well utilized. They even had an indoor/outdoor hearth, which is something you don't see every day."

"There was a mix up on our appointment time so my service call was missed. I had confirmed the day prior and we were set. When I called the next business day, they were most helpful and considerate of my time lost from and re-scheduled my appointment for that day and my convenience. I must say that doesn’t happen nowadays. They did my service and repair and the technician was very knowledgeable and explained my system to me. They have my trust and respect for the excellent customer service. I will continue to use them and recommend them from my experience."
