"I do not recommend this place! Just had a horrible experience! I called and asked pricing for a style and hair tinsel for 2 girls because it was a birthday present and I said that at booking. The price told to me was 35. Which I was fine with. One of my girls had a few dead ends and I asked the stylist if when she was styling my daughters hair for she could just trim the dead ends off, I did not specify a “hair cut” nor was I told it was going to be an additional 30 dollars for snipping off some dead ends. I will take blame for not asking but I don’t feel the situation was handled appropriately when I questioned the price up front. And it would not have been as big of a deal- but my daughters curls were already fallen out by the time I went up front to pay so I felt completely ripped off for what we got and what the charge was. If someone is unhappy with a service I feel it should be made right. And was not, instead I was told that they could change from additional 30 to just 20. Anywhere I have ever gotten my hair done a style has been included with a cut. I would love for a manager or owner or someone to reach out because I feel completely ripped off and a special day for my daughters birthday was ruined."

"Courtney was fantastic with my one and a half year old! She was patient and friendly from start to finish. She stopped midway through to make sure I was okay with how much length she was taking off, since I had expressed I wasn’t ready to let the baby curls go yet. Highly, highly recommend going to see her!"

"Ms. Courtney was so kind, gentle, calming, & super talented when cutting & braiding my daughter’s hair. We went to Laken our first 2 times here, & we weren’t super impressed. She didn’t talk to us & acted like she didn’t really want to be there, but I’m so glad we tried Courtney. We’ll stick with her as long as we can, & her salon is beautiful & clean! Their vehicle chairs are so much fun. Highly recommend for all your kiddos!"

"We went to Cool Kids Salon for a first haircut with Ashley and they exceeded my expectations in every way! The style and cut was spot on and it was done in no time. Professional/personable service and of course a kid friendly place. I was so worried about my 1 year old getting into everything and it was not an issue at all for him to wander. Will come back for another cut!"

"Cool Kids Salon is the best child friendly, parent friendly, amazing customer service salon in this area. you can book your appointment online!!! Courtney the owner is super awesome!!! She has been cutting hair for ten plus years and did a fantastic job with all four of my kids.especially my son who has sensory processing disorder! She is kind and her staff are top knotch!!! i can’t wait to go back for myself, cause she does adults also!!!! go check them out!!"
