"Wonderful choc covered strawberries...beautiful flowers....they have roses that are like a rainbow...just super amazing color."
"I bought a pomegranate at Orlando Brothers Produce on Sunday, 10/01/23. I opened it on 10/02/23 it was rotten. I put it in a ziploc bag and placed it in the fridge. I returned it today 10/04/23 with the receipt for $2.99. I explained to the young lady, I had purchased this item on Sunday and it’s rotten. What I expected-I’m sorry, can we replace it or would you like a refund? What I got-I don’t know what I can do about it, let me call someone. As the young lady walks away from the counter she approaches a young guy who also works there I couldn’t hear their exchange. Then she begins speaking with someone over the phone. She returns to the counter and I hear her side of the conversation, “it’s cold, I guess, I think it looks like ours”. Then she looks the fruit over again and reaches behind her and gives me another one as she continues her conversation and walks away. This was my first time returning something purchased here, although I was tempted before due to bad produce. Had customer service been better today there’s a 95% chance I wouldn’t have written this review. I’m retired and don’t have money just to give away. Please OBP have more respect/courtesy for your customers."
"For every season; highly recommend this open market for fresh fruits and vegetables. Seasonal flowers and the best Christmas trees are must for the holidays."
"I love to support small business, but Orlando brother’s won’t receive mine or my family’s support anymore. I’m giving them 3 stars based on some the produce we received that was really good. They have a nice variety of watermelons and seeded fruit. The honey dew melon, cherry plums, and grapes were very good and sweet. The green tomatoes where also really good. They also accept EBT, cash and debit(there’s a fee for using debit). The “exotic” fruit weren’t in the best condition. We stay in Houston where tropical fruits are easily accessible to us so we have some experience in being able to determine which fruit are good/bad. It appeared that the fruit had been there for quite some time. The prices for some of the fruit was a little ridiculous and we ended up spending almost $70 for fruit and veggies, not much showing for it. There were plenty signs stating they would refund you for your melon within 72 hours with a receipt. We went to return the watermelon (which was $14.99) and was told that it is what it is because it wasn’t mushy. We pointed to the sign that doesn’t specify the condition of the watermelon. The young lady stated she would have to get the manger. He tried to tell us that if we bought a watermelon at a supermarket we couldn’t exchange it. My mother in law and I both informed him that was actually false as my mother in law has over 30 years working at a grocery store and we both returned watermelons in the past at different stores with no issues. The manager seen that we weren’t going to just accept that foolishness and stated “ yeah ok whatever, just get one “ and walked away. The watermelons is already twice the price for one at a grocery store and about the same size and for you all to think someone should just chunk it up and buy another one is absurd. After that ordeal I’d rather use the extra gas and visit Soulard."
"My husband or I visit this market 1 to 2 times a week for watermelon and veggies, which are always good and fresh. Yesterday I arrived at 6:29 pm the stand close at 6:30 the young lady told me she couldn't service me because they close in 1 minute and had put most of the items up. I explained to her that all I wanted was 2 watermelon, which were still sitting there untouched she said sorry we're closed. She made me so unhappy as a customer that I drive from Florissant 1 to 2 times a week to do business with this company, and she wouldn't allow me the 1 minute to purchase a watermelon. I will continue to support it because the company provides good products and just did a review in hopes the owner will see what I experienced and their thoughts. As a business owner myself, I will not be happy to hear even if it is a minute you honor the hours."
