"My weekend in the Lou started with a trip to Emerge Design Studio. I wanted to replace my frizzy ponytail with something more polished and age appropriate. First time customer. Adela was amazing! A true gem of St. Louis! She listened to my concerns, looked at my ‘inspiration photos’, analyzed my wild mane from every angle, and laid out a clear plan of attack. The result? The best cut I’ve had in a long while! She’s got some ‘mad skills’ for sure. She also has heart. Her customer service is excellent—she clearly understands that building trust and rapport is just as important as delivering the right cut. I’m embarrassed that at my age I don’t have much know how or talent when it comes to doing my own hair, so I had lots of questions. She gave me tips, advice, and even demonstrated tools and technique so I would have success styling on my own. I really wish I lived here—Adele would be my new stylist for sure.
