"Wonderful store. I do have a question, going to the meat department tonight I asked the young man who was Asian, just for identification purposes, if they season the steaks he said no. I live exactly between this schnucks and Diebergs and they do season them including the local butcher , I'm just asking? A ."

"I don't know what is going on in the meat department, but when I went there tonight the smell of rotten meat and/or backed up drainage was so bad that I stopped shopping and left the store. It was legitimately revolting."

"Sure they’ve got a kombucha tap and a food hall, but no one ever uses either of those. I noticed the Salt and Smoke section is all packed up and evidently, closing. Anyway, it’s an extremely regular occurrence for them to have spoiled food still out and available for purchase on the shelves. It’s happened, not an exaggeration, 75% of the times I’ve shopped there. I got very bad food poisoning from a package of pork chops there once. It shouldn’t even have to cross a customer’s mind to check if the food available for purchase is good or not. Meanwhile, the Arsenal location in the city manages to keep their shelves stocked with fresh food consistently. Why deck out the Kirkwood one with all the fancy stuff when they clearly don’t care about their customer base? I guess most Kirkwood people are shopping at Fresh Thyme or Dierbergs or Straubs. "Hey so I was in your kirkwood store for 10 items took 40 minutes. Wish you guys had a better meat department an Deli. Hyvee employees talk to you with in 3 seconds of coming up to the counter. You need to staff more ppl or train your employees better. The job is cake shouldn't be this hard."

"A manager Brad was very helpful. He noticed the salad I was looking for was out of stock. He asked me if he'd like me to look in the back. He went in the back and couldn't find and came out with a price check tool. He scanned the bar code and it said they had 12. He went in the back and grabbed one of then. Thanks for the second effort Brad."
