"I chose to get my hair done at this professional facility after 12 years of being in a professional salon… And the day that I chose to get my hair done to launch a business meeting to a crowd of people my confidence was not shining. Matter of fact I had to tell people that I did my hair because I was more embarrassed to tell anyone that I paid $77 for a silk press at Locs of Glory THAN what my hair looked like when Cyri finished my hair. But I thought that they knew how to do silk presses so I didn’t think that I needed a picture and after two hours of getting my hair done I didn’t have any extra time to fix anything especially when my business launch started at 5pm and I left locs of glory after 4pm. I told her that I looked old. The moment AFTER I left the shop my hair looked like it’s been up for two weeks. I did tell my hairstylist that I looked like an old lady when she asked how did I like so she Knew exactly how I felt but I didn’t have any time to correct it. Now I can say that I did love the energy, and environment. I actually wanted to recommend all my sisters and business partners there because they are black owned and do hair, nails, and they do soo much more! But I was embarrassed to say anything about locks of glory But my sister, fiancé and myself was sooo disappointed with something that should have been simply EXECUTED for a moment that I really needed to be represent in… Damn! and I really really wanted to be apart of what they got going on sooo bad here because they really do have a WONDERFUL thing going on there. It just sucks that something so little like a jacked up silk press not only crushed my feelings, and how this misrepresented who I am as a business partner, but it also impacted my decision to not seek services here because I don’t trust the services and that I don’t want to waste any more money there since our times and schedules don’t line up for me to be able to regain there trust. Now I can say that they were willing to have me come back to fix my hair. But turns out that they are not open on the 2 days that I am originally off work each week. And I only call off to make money not to correct somebody’s money. So I really don’t know what to do! So far allI can do is avoid locs of glory and only stick with the people I know who will make you look and feel like a million dollars in their salon-like style basements then to waste anymore TIME OR TOO MUCH MONEY for something I could have did myself and used that $77 toward something that I that I could have benefitted from… Like I straight could have went into the hood and got done up 3 times better then what I ended up with and so much less… I really do wish that my results could been better"
