"Walmart - weirdly - doesn't accept Venmo UPC purchases. It's all I could use that night to purchase dog food. A frustrating waste of time, and further evidence that Wally World's CSR support completely BLOWS. To clarify, this is NOT the store employees' fault - it's 100% on corporate. Anyway, I called Kroger from my car. Yes, they'll take my Venmo UPC payment. Bring my ID & have the app on my phone. Great! The first woman I saw upon entering Kroger was the woman I spoke to via cell. Super nice. She called out to the manager, who was already aware of my situation. Gathered my items, went to the CSR counter where the manager was waiting. She knew what she was doing for sure, but the machine was apparently in a bad mood. Somehow, though, she made it work! The Kroger employees were all WONDERFUL. Friendly, nice, knowledgeble, and accomodating. Great morale amongst them, too - sorely lacking these days at Wally's. Kroger may cost a bit more overall, but that's okay. I'll go there when I can, and suggest you do, too!"
