"As a dude with a five year long stint having long hair I had a serious stress about getting a haircut. This place is a diamond in the ruff and should be considered a top performing salon in the city. I thought I was going to cry after this and I'm smiling happier then can be. I don't know the lady who cut my hair, this review sounds fake but for real I'm like in tears of joy...over a haircut. 100/100 if you are a guy and want a good looking haircut go here. "I went to this salon to get highlights for the first time in my life and my experience was really great! I had the pleasure of receiving my cut and color from the owner herself, Katie, and she really delivered. Since it was my first time dying my hair I had a lot of questions all of which Katie answered cheerfully and thoroughly. My hair turned out great! There is so much dimension and depth to my hair color now! I brought in a few reference photos and she really understood what I wanted. The salon itself has a really great energy with its soaring ceilings and cool industrial aesthetic. With its open layout and tasteful furnishings it makes me feel like I’m getting my haircut in a friend’s loft, except cleaner and nicer! Pricing was competitive with what I saw in the area as well, so no problems there. Just a really pleasant 5-star experience all around. If I had to sum it up in three words it would be friendly, clean, and professional."

"I’m going to be honest, I’ve had mixed experiences with stylists at this salon in the past, but when I heard Talem had a new owner, I gave it another shot. I’m SO glad I did. The owner, Katie, is fantastic! She did a Brazilian blowout in my daughter and full two color balayage on me. We LOVE the results of both. Highly recommend!"

"Part of me feels bad for leaving their review but I am a firm believer of reading reviews first which is why I chose this salon. Unfortunately my experience was not as satisfactory as others. I asked for a balayage and got far from that. The blonde also came out very orange/brassy. I did said something and came back to have it fixed at no charge, but unfortunately I’m just not in love with the end product. The staff was friendly enough but I wish the stylist would have owned up to her mistake."
