Reviews of JCPenney Salon
"I was a walk-in and I was welcomed warmly and Martha ended up cutting my hair! She did AMAZING! I feel so much more confident and my hair looks so good! I had really long hair but lots of dead ends! She only cut what I was comfortable with. I am definitely making an appointment and going back!"
"Had a great stylist who left and took a chance on a new one a couple of months ago. She was awesome and the cut was perfect. I wanted her yesterday but couldn't remember her name. JCP records show who works on whom so I asked for the same designer. The person on the phone assured me she was making the appointment with that designer. When I arrived, it was a stranger but I had to have a haircut. No time to make another appointment, so I gave her a chance. Big mistake. It's not horrible but not what I wanted or described so I am disappointed but too paranoid to go back for a cut touch-up. EDIT! Changed my opinion. It was a bad haircut. Once I actually touched it all over, it is HORRIBLE, jagged and uneven. It will have to grow for 2 or 3 months before I can even try to get it corrected. I'm very disappointed and frankly furious."
"I went here for a new hair color. My sister and I booked an appointment slot for 2 people but wound up being seated around the corner from each other so we could not even talk. I had asked my stylist if she could tint my eyebrows to match my hair color, and she said we could just use the hair dye. She started with the hair color, she dyed my roots first, then roughly brushed it through the rest of my hair. She made a comment about getting rougher the longer she is a stylist. Then she did my brows using a hair dye brush. After she left the red hair dye on my nearly blonde eyebrows for 20 minutes, I asked her how much longer it needed to stay on. She said we could take it off now and instead of washing them she used hand sanitizer. Since she had used a hair dye brush to put the color on, the skin behind my brows was stained red along with my now very red eyebrows. This also caused patchy uneven coloring of my actual eyebrows since there was no precision in the application. I feel like as a stylist, especially of her age, she should have known that that was too long to leave the color on and that it was an inappropriate application process. However, I was happy with the color of my hair. She also straightened it for me and did some minor trimming. The next morning I went to put my hair in a pony tail and realized I had a section of hair on the top of my head that was only 3-4 inches long. This was not like this before her pulling the dye through my hair the way she did. I called the store manager to let her know about both my eyebrows and the short hair. She did offer for me to come in and fix my brows but in response to my hair being ripped out she said, "Well I can't give you your hair back. That's wild, that's never happened to anybody else". So due to her dismissive and uncaring attitude, I called to file a complaint with corporate. Their response to me after a few days was that the manager reported that she had reached out to me and I declined their services. This was absolutely false. Never did I get a call or an apology. So, at the end of the day, their manager is unsympathetic to someone who called, literally in tears, to her store due to a service received there, and also is a liar. I hope anyone thinking of going here for service reads these reviews beforehand because there are plenty of bad ones. I wish I would have."
"All of the staff are very helpful and kind. I have gone there three times over the last six months and been very pleased with the stylists taking time to listen and always give me a professional haircut. Karrie Ann has cut my hair twice. She takes the time to listen, offer input and discusses in great detail the cut. Karrie Ann is very polite and brings a smile to my face as well. I have left the salon always feeling great. It is a breath of fresh air to be treated very kindly and given a professional hair style as well. The staff always works very hard to work me in their schedule on weekends. Thank you Karrie Ann!"
"Entire staff was so friendly and kind. Ni cut my hair AMAZING today! She takes her time, offers suggestions and enjoys her job. I love love my new hairstyle, I will definitely have Ni cut my hair again."
