"This contractor is a scammer. Thomas Sawyer made false promises and said he would finish the project in a week, however he dragged on for over a month and now won’t answer our calls. We agreed to a contract totaling $65,000, which included a retaining wall, asphalt, and concrete. Initially, he told us he would easily complete it in a week and would make sure the inspection passed as well, so we would be able open our commercial space to the public. He took well over a month to complete the retaining wall and asphalt. Some days he was on “vacation.” When it came to the concrete portion, he claimed he did not do concrete work himself. Before we signed the agreement, he claimed he “can do everything.” After a terrible experience with this individual, it is clear he makes false promises and irresponsible claims to secure a contract and get paid, then fails to deliver. This man overcharged us for the asphalt and retaining wall, however we paid him since according to the contract, he would do the concrete work cheaper than most others would. He also promised to get the inspection passed and handle all matters related to the project. Now, he is avoiding our calls and won’t complete the project. Thomas Sawyer is a fraud and should be avoided at all costs. We spoke to a lawyer and a lawsuit is in motion."
