"Terrible company. Thankful my employer selected a new company for our supplemental insurance this year. With full and appropriate documentation, I was continually denied my claims. They give you the bare minimum for communication and make you do all the work, while creating ridiculous number of hoops to jump through.... All the while knowing it's a game for them and they'll just keep denying your critical illness claim to the supplemental insurance you've already paid for. I should be fighting my cancer not my insurance company but here we are. Shame on you."
"I’m not one to leave reviews but after my car getting totaled and having to deal with this Insurance company I will say everything you see about it is true, truly one of the worst businesses I’ve ever delt with it feels like I’m playing hide and seek with Ajanee Booth who’s “helping” me. From the start she’s had a really awful attitude and won’t respond to emails or phone calls and has only called me twice and both times were at a bad time and right before they closed and the one time I was able to get on the phone with her it was just dry responses and never actually answering what I’m asking and they also tried saying my cars kick plate and trunk carpet is missing."
"TRASH, do not use them. Absolutely the most horrible experience. The employees all respond with the same broiler room script. Nothing is ever resolved with them. Don’t bother paying them a red cent of your money because they keep your money but don’t over the coverages they claim."
"Everything previously written about this company is accurate. Their processes are horrendous and the website, not only isn't user friendly, it literally contradicts itself. Simply put, I have a very simple and straight forward fmla request, and they keep denying it requesting more paperwork, paperwork that has been submitted multiple times already. For an employee with a catastrophic acute medical condition, this is utterly unacceptable! However, its unacceptable in any case, for any one with a legitimate claim. SHAME ON YOU HARTFORD!"
"Very hard company to deal with. I understand when a company is busy and has long wait times, but when I finally get the call back I expect to be able to talk to someone, not be left with an empty line for so long I have to hang up or get hung up on. One of the times I got a call back when I answered the phone it immediately clicked and went to the end of call survey. When using the website to check on the status of my claim, which they try to push you to do, I was shown inaccurate information for the entire process. They ended up processing my FMLA claim just fine, but anytime I had to get information from them it was insanely difficult."
