"Update: Over a week has passed since their reply, nobody has reached out. A few days ago, I noticed a puddle of oil under my wife’s car and realized it was coming from the valve cover. In November 2021, we had her valve cover gaskets changed at this Acura dealership based on their recommendation. Later, we also used the same dealership for an alternator replacement. However, with less than 30,000 miles since the gasket replacement, the new alternator is now soaked in oil due to the valve cover gaskets they claimed to have replaced leaking. One of these leaks is also reaching the catalytic converter, posing a fire hazard. Despite my family's background in the industry, I was genuinely surprised by the service manager's poor attitude and lack of concern. It seems to me that the gaskets may not have been changed at all, instead, the valve cover bolts seem to have been tightened well beyond the recommended torque specs. If they were changed, it's evident they were installed incorrectly. I'll provide updates as the issue develops."
