"I am so shocked that this place has 5 stars. I am not a hater, or a Karen, and I’m a stoner (so I’m not picky) but this is the most bland ramen I’ve ever had. The broth tastes more like salt than anything else. My ramen was supposed to have pork belly, a fatty cut of meat, tell me how there was ZERO fat. My extremely sensitive to spice sister, got a “spicy” dish, and said it was barely even tickling her nose. A super disappointing experience."
"Devoted was an unexpected find. Excellent atmosphere and service. The sawn tree bar was tasteful and reminiscent of rural Japanese sushi bars and ramen yas. The spicy shoyu ramen was spicy enough to clear your sinuses, but not so spicy that you couldn't taste the freshness of the ingredients. The broth was worth finishing. Gyoza and steamed dumplings were an excellent accompaniment to the meal."
"Devoted has been on my radar for a hot minute, and when the weather turned rainy and cold, I knew it was time to seize the opportunity to see if it lived up to the hype. It did that and then some. Tucked away inside the Crepe Myrtle Asian Market, it would be easy to miss this, quite literally hidden gem.Once you've made it all the way back. You notice that the vibe and decor changes. They did a wonderful job remodeling the back space into a cozy restaurant (seats maybe 25). We got there at a good time, as there were only 4 groups ahead of us, and a line of 30+ people quickly formed behind us. We signed up on their paper sign-in sheet (important not to miss this step) and waited 20-30 minutes while chatting with people in line. Once inside, we tried the Takoyaki to start. Delicious. Since it was chilly and wet outside, I opted to try the Chili Shoyu Ramen. There are not many places that I'll rave about, but I've been raving about how out of this world good this ramen is. The broth is divine, and the texture of the noodles is perfect. Even though this version of the shoyu ramen is spicy, it isn't overwhelmingly so. Just enough to be enjoyable and open up the sinuses. My bowl was completely empty at the end. You better drink the broth. The service was friendly and checked on us often, and it's a wonder watching the well-oiled machine that is the 7-8 man team that is devoted. I will be back, and you should go if you have time to spare. Just be prepared, the tempting aromas will definitely stimulate your appetite during your wait!"
"The food here was delicious! There isn't a ton of seating so there was about a half-hour wait when we arrived, but it was completely worth it. The ramen was super good and I loved the pork wontons."
