"Veterans discount provided The best part of unboxing these shoes was the delightful smell of new leather. The process of taking them out of the box and bag itself made me feel excited to wear them. I would not recommend immediately throwing them on and doing a full day's work. Wear them them a couple hours here and there in the house to break them in. After the first full day at work I thought twice about putting them back on the next day, but by the third day they were feeling good. Tyler was very helpful. He had me size in a similar shoe (different color) and mailed the color I wanted. I ordered on Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday."

"This was my first time getting Allen Edmonds shoes, and between the shoes and the service I received I will be a customer for life. I first ordered my shoes online during the yearly sale and the fit was poor. Rather than shipping shoes back and forth to find the right size, I drove 3 hrs to Kansas City, and I am very glad I did. Travis was very professional and knowledgeable about the shoes. He went above and beyond, measuring me and trying every single size/width combination that may work for me (I have a weird foot with wide toes and a narrow heel). He made sure to price match my shoes to the sale price I received even to the point of making sure the tax difference didn't cost me any more. Customer service was better than I have ever received before. The shoes looked amazing, and now that they are broken in fit my feet nearly perfectly."

Travis was very professional, and helpful. He showed me good options. I ended up buying one more product and left with exactly what I needed. High quality products. "I purchased my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes last year from the Leawood retail store and the experience was excellent and my shoes fit wonderfully. I purchased my second pair of shoes last week from a young man and the experience could not have been any worse. I intentionally arrived during the early afternoon during a weekday to avoid traffic. The associate could not be bothered to measure my feet despite my request for him to do so. He handed me one shoe and I had to ask him for a shoe horn. I then had to ask him for the other shoe after I laced up the first one that he gave me. I truly believe he intended for me to try on one shoe. Tyler could not be bothered to give me his full attention as he continued to scan the room as if waiting for the next sale. After trying on a second pair that seemed to fit, I was so irritated with the poor level of service that I convinced myself that the shoes fit so I could get the heck out of there. I have wanted these shoes for over a year. I put them on again for the first time after my purchase and now realize that they are too tight. I am a loyal to brick and mortar customer but if this low level customer service continues at what is supposed to be a higher-end store, I will shop online. I expect customer service like this from Macy’s. I hope this experience was a one-off because I love the Allen Edmonds brand."
