"I can’t lie, St. Louis has not been an impressive food destination, but this spot was absolutely worth a visit. It’s a cozy and comfortable environment with very friendly staff, and a relaxed vibe. All the mugs are different (you can buy your mug if you happen to like it), the decor is random but cohesive, and the recipes are creative. I really enjoyed the food here! Very hot, super fresh, and full of flavor and color. There were so many things on the menu that looked good, but I couldn’t try them all unfortunately. I’m glad I was able to check this spot out before leaving STL."

"Unique and homey space which I appreciated. Service was casual and friendly. I was sitting at the bar and someone next to me said I HAD to try the pancakes. So I did, and BOY were they delicious. I’m from Atlanta and have had a lot of pancakes/waffles for breakfast/brunch and these are in my top 3. Where my experience went left was the second dish i had which was the Ham, Eggs & Red-Eye Gravy w side of Grits. Nothing had prominent flavor and I did not enjoy this at all. The gravy was almost bitter on the backend? Grits lacked salt plain and simple. Overall my total + tip was $40. For this total I’ve had far better breakfast as a whole. I will be back, but only for a to-go order of pancakes."

One word of advice: come to Grand Pied with a hearty appetite, as the portions are generous and filling. The quality and taste of the food left us thoroughly satisfied.
