Lion's Choice - Hanley Road 1605 South Hanley Road, St. Louis, MO 63144

"The staff was courteous and friendly. Everything was fresh and the fries were fresh from the fryer and plenty of them. The restaurant was clean and everything at the self serve counter was well stocked. I still call it "Red Lion" and their service has been on point and top notch since they opened and they have always served "Restaurant Grade Roast Beef". The food is always hot, fresh, good and tasty. Red Lion is steps above "fast food" and is actually a "Fast Serve Restaurant" not at all in the "Fast Food Classification""

"This is the third Lion's choice we have visited in the greater St Louis area and I'm happy to say that it was every bit as good as the other two we've been to. I really like how Lion's Choice is so consistent from location to location in their appearance, service, and food quality. If you've read any of my other posts you know that I look for gluten-free restaurants to visit and this is one of my favorite franchises for that. They have a really tasty gluten-free bun that they provide with the meal in its own little package to prevent cross-contamination. Your sandwich fixings come in containers with lids and you get to build your own sandwich. I think that is pretty clever of them. They also have a large number of soft drink options which are self-serve. We always enjoy a visit to Lion's Choice."

"I made a pickup order and after the lady gave me my bag of food I waited for my drink. She rudely told me she already gave me everything, I said I didn’t get my drink which she replied “huh?” And closed the door. Then she told her coworker who questioned my first and last name. Finally they gave me my drink, when I got home I found that they did not give me the au jus sauce I ordered, my baked potato had no butter or sour cream that I ordered and I even paid for extra sour cream as well and the cheese I paid for on my sandwich mostly outside of the sandwich. I paid $23 for my meal plus a side of mac and cheese which I already thought was expensive but to have such a rude encounter and get multiple things messed up was definitely not worth it."

"Look, this is exactly what it is supposed to be. all others are pale imitations. it is fast food. it is meat. don't kid yourself, nobody is playing games. Step into the mildly distopian time machine that is Lions Choice and be happy."

"Service was fast and friendly. However, my fries were lukewarm and my sandwich wasn't much better. I ordered a large roast beef and swiss well done. The meat should have been hot so the cheese should have melted. Being an ex-Lion's Choice employee, many many years ago, I know that in order to cook the beef to well done you have to put it on the steamer; unless something has changed. The lemonade didn't taste very good. I threw it out. The food was good. Lion's Choice never seems to disappoint where taste is concerned. I do wish my food would have been hotter; it would have been more enjoyable."
