Reviews of Trainwreck Saloon
"Went in for a quick burger before a basketball game and was really impressed. We all had burgers and they were delicious, I would highly recommend them and they are super affordable compared to similar quality in STL. Also the service was outstanding and friendly . Great experience and will definitely be back."
"Grab a seat and get some food ordered. I had the chicken bacon Gouda in a spinach wrap. It was better than expected. I told the wife I would be back for that again. Had not been there in over 20 years. We were there for a 50th birthday party with 12 people and they were very accommodating. Our server made sure our drinks were all full. If you are in the area try it out. I recommend."
"Hello fellow burger lovers. Me and my perfect girlfriend ate dinner here and the food was horrendous. I ordered the cheddar burger at first I was excited and then unfathomable sadness. The bread it came on was some kind of waterlogged drywall bread almost that was almost too hard for my sensitive teeth to tear. But wait there's more. I remove the bun and observe a mound of yellow vomit like substance. I asked what it was and they replied pub cheese. It looked like someone had chewed it up and baby birded the pub cheese back onto the burger. I scrapped the cheese off and it was so hard and nearly completely solidified it nearly broke the metal knife in half. We got 2 cheese burgers and a side salad and chips and it was 65$ :(. The staff was nice though."
"We had a large chicken wings plate and a huge salmon salad bowl and beers. Requested the dips on the side. Hot honey tasted weird for me, should have gotten good ol barbeque sauce. I think the place is too dark we can't see the menu card at all. Overall, the dinner was good and they close later than most restaurants"
"I recently had the opportunity to dine at Trainwreck Saloon and wanted to share my thoughts on their food, specifically the Mexican raviolis and the bacon cheddar BBQ bison burger with seasoned fries. Let's start with the Mexican raviolis as the appetizer. They were a unique twist on traditional ravioli, filled with nacho cheese that melted into a delightful gooey texture. The accompanying sauce, which seemed to be a sour cream base mixed with salsa, provided a tangy and spicy kick. It was certainly an interesting choice for a stoner snack and I found it to be quite enjoyable. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the bacon cheddar BBQ bison burger with seasoned fries. While the seasoned fries were exceptional and unlike any I've had before, the burger itself left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the burger was smothered in what appeared to be canned cheddar with a paste like appearance/texture which they referred to as "soft cheddar." The cheddar paste taste overwhelmed the overall flavor and left me feeling a bit queasy. The excessive amount of cheddar paste also made the burger feel heavy and unappetizing. Overall, my experience at Trainwreck Saloon was a mixed bag. While the Mexican raviolis were a tasty and unique starter, the bacon cheddar BBQ bison burger fell short due to the overpowering cheddar paste. However, I can confidently say that their seasoned fries were outstanding and worth trying…"
