Wakey Wakey Breakfast Place 10701 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63127

"Skip this place until they rework this dud! This place is cursed with a horrible location on the interior of a hotel (no windows and dark walls) and a grease filled menu of expensive "fancy" breakfast selections. From the hotel side you walk down a hallway that isn't clear where it leads, and it feels like you're walking into an area that shouldn't be used as a dining room, kind of cute barn-like decorations but it is too dark for the morning time, and has a real storage area feel to it. The service was not the same quality as the Twisted Tree but decent, though the servers were quickly overwhelmed when the tables started filling up. The food was nearly inedible, they politely handled taking one of the meals off our bill, but it was still $25 with tip for just one meal and coffee."

"Food was great, however our service was not. Server was extremely rude, I understand it’s the Christmas season and things can be stressful, however we expected much more. We were nothing but nice, server would barely say anything to us and did not refill hot coffee for at least 15 mins. Waffles were kind of cold, but all in all food was pretty good. Hopefully the server was just having a bad day."

"At 7AM the music in the restaurant was loud and obnoxious and the waitress was nice but could not turn it down. I decided to get my breakfast to go and go back up to my room to eat it. The avocado lobster toast was exactly as described 10 mo ago by another person, 3 small pieces of (not particularly good) lobster on soggy bread that was not much toasted. With rather much bland smashed avocado. The mixed fruit was decent but that's much harder to screw up."

"Stopped here, out of town for the Metallica concert. Not busy at all. This place is delicious!! The restaurant is attached to the Holiday Inn and the Twisted Fire steakhouse, which we didn't get the pleasure of trying. I had the twisted waffles, which were covered in caramel bourbon sauce. So so good! The breakfast potatoes were amazing!! We had Adrianna as our waitress and she was 4 foot 11 of spunkiness and smiles! Would love to come back here anytime we are in town!!"

"The wait was kind of long 10 mins. I say long 10 mins because there wasn't a host at the counterand it wasnt busy at all either. It seemed the host was also the waitress. She greeted me and told me to sit anywhere I opted for a booth. Iooked over the menu and decided on the chicken and waffles with eggs, fruit, and an iced coffee hold the liquor. It took a while for the food to come 30 mins about and when it did the eggs weren't with it. She said she'd be back with them and when a few mins had gone by I decided to eat what was there because I didn't want it to get cold. She came back and asked how everything was. It was very delicious despite not having the eggs. But tbh it would have been too much for me anyway. What I had was perfect. She apologized, I told her it was fine, because it was. I will definitely be coming back again soon. Hopefully I dont have to wait as long to be seated. I truly enjoyed the food and the chicken was in the shape of a heart. Love."
