"DO NOT trust Valvoline. I came in 3/14 Thursday due to my car leaking on the bottom (wasn’t sure if it was oil). I kindly asked if they could fix it or if I should go to the dealership. The guys (Timothy was manager onsite) assured me they fixed it. They said “it was frame oil leaking, we fixed it though it shouldn’t leak anymore”. Honda told me today frame oil isn’t a thing. Well it was leaking still over the weekend still. I brought it in first thing Monday 3/18. Manager Megan told me in less than a minute of looking it was transmission fluid leaking and to get to a dealership asap! Wild because the invoice says transmission sealed too To top it off, she said the best they could do to refund me is $15. Although that guys on 3/14 insisted on charging me over $100 for an oil change and saying they fixed the leak (THE MAIN REASON I CAME IN). I understand they’re not equipped to fix all car issues, but they have an ethical responsibility to tell their customers the truth. 3/14 I should’ve been told 1- we don’t know what it is or 2-as Megan told me 3/18 transmission fluid go to the dealership."
"Came here for an oil change. The staff was somewhat rude to me. It wasn’t just one person it was a few different people. When getting my oil change I understand that they are to recommend other products and services as well. However I told this one guy that I did not want anything extra I just wanted my oil change. He then continued to try to upsell me and I told him no again I just wanted an oil change. Then he tried to upsell me again saying that my filter was dirty and he really recommended it almost to the point he turned around and started prepping the service and adding it to the cart saying “so we’re good to go with that one too” then get him to stop I had to really raise my voice and explain to him I just had to drop $1300 on new tires and wheels because of a different situation and couldn’t afford it. Felt super super pushy and could not listen. Acted like they make commission off of the sale which they don’t. Was a weird experience. I’ve never had a strange experience like this at any other valvoline. Was pretty unpleased with my visit at the sunset hills location."
"Have been to this location twice now - first for an oil change, then for a transmission service and battery replacement. Both times I received prompt, courteous service with what seems to be genuine concern to do not just a good job, but the right job as well. Because of this service level and their honesty in dealing with me (telling me that I didn't need a service previously recommended), I will return and will recommend them to others."
"Would not recommend this place. Brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change. Valvoline who has done previous oil changes on this vehicle rounded off the end of the drain plug. So they put in a new oversized drain plug that stripped out the threads on the oil pan so much that the car was leaking over a quart every day on my driveway. Had vehicle towed to my mechanic in which I paid for the tow and they would not refund it to me. Had them look at the vehicle and said that the oil pan need replacement along with a oil change. Talked to the manger and he was extremely rude and told me the mechanic was price gouging and that they were to expensive. He told me the vehicle would only be fixed if taken to his mechanic. I was told it would get a new oil pan at mikes automotive instead they just rethreaded the pan. And after they retreated the pan they just dump in the old oil and added another quart. Even though I was told the oil would be changed. After I picked up the vehicle within a few miles the oil light came back on and flashing. I talked to corporate and they told me to swing by the nearest Valvoline location so that they could check out the car. They look at it and saw nothing leaking and said everything was fine. I was told to take it to the nearest shop so they could diagnose the issue. Brought it to the Chrysler dealership and they told me that since the oil pan was leaking oil it tricked the oil pressure light and caused the oil pressure sensor to go bad. Car never had a issue with the oil pressure light prior to oil change. Called corporate they said that they would “investigate”. The mangers declined to pay for the oil pressure light even though it was caused because it was ran low on oil. They also won’t pay for the diagnostic fee for the oil pressure light. And they won’t pay for the tow when it went from my house to my mechanic. And they lied and never actually changed the oil when they rethreaded the pan."
"Been in line 45 mins. I saw a car skip in line and when I addressed it with the manager (girl blond hair) she said “im not going to help him because of that.” Then proceeded to let him keep his spot in line."
