I was impressed that Dr. Duello carefully explained my situation to me and the gum graft he could do to help. I'm sure he could give that explanation in his sleep, he's done it so many times, but I could tell he really wanted me to feel important in his eyes. I did feel important, and I felt I could trust Dr. Duello with his decades of experience. I could tell during the surgery Dr. Duello was completely focused on giving me a successful outcome. I would recommend before your surgery you buy meal replacement powder; my brother-in-law was visiting, and his meal powder was the only thing that enabled me to get the calories I needed for a couple days. I was also glad I had 3 days off work to recover. When Dr. Duello removed the protective coating at my one-week follow up, I was thrilled to hear him that I have a 0% chance of additional gum regression (unless my mouth experiences trauma, of course). That made the financial cost and short-term discomfort totally worth it to me."
