"This entire airport counter of rental cars is an utter scam. Prices are astronomical due to “high demand” like it’s rideshare surging. They gave me weekly rate, turned it in 2 .5 days later and still charged me $1,000 for the week; no pro-rate. They also charged $124 for 1/2 tank of gas in an SUV. Staff/manager at counter could care less and just said it’s corporate policy. This place must be such a horrible place to work, as this is the attitude of Hertz, Enterprise, etc. Hertz was allowed to shed $5b with their bankruptcy filing in 2021, now look at em pillaging their customers. Never again with Hertz. STAY AWAY FROM THE RENTAL SCAMS AT SGF airport."

"The vehicle we ended up with was new, reliable & very clean, but not the sedan we were expecting. However, when making & confirming the reservation terms were not made very clear so not only did we pay more for the rental than what was on our reservation, we had to pay a $500 deposit for using a debit card instead of a credit card. So if you're planning on renting from Hertz I would recommend taking your credit card with you"

"I wentto pick up my rental car. There were two lines - one for regular people and one for Gold members. With two people at the counter, they were waiting on Gold members first. I couldn't understand this. I will admit I was a little cranky because of an airport attendant but this was making me madder. It was my first trip to Springfield and I was thinking, "I don't like these people." So please tell me why, when it was my turn, did Jeff charm my socks off. He was patient and courteous just like he had been with all the other clients. Jeff is very good at his job. He was efficient and very detailed oriented to make sure I had everything thing that I wanted. While I was waiting in line I registered for the Gold membership. He attached it to my reservation and made sure I knew the benefits, which I didn't know because I was signing up out of irritation. He went above and beyond. The other worker was training. At the beginning, when he asked how I was doing, I said fair to Midland. At the end, I can say I was feeling great thanks to Jeff."
