"A very cozy and beautiful local coffee shop in the downtown of Gardner, Kansas. It is located in a very old and historic building. Wood floors and a decorative ceiling make you feel like you are stepping back into time somewhat. Every time I come inside it has a great aroma of coffee in the air (as you’d expect). I ordered the iced brown cow and it was really good. Not too sweet and also not too heavy on coffee. The chocolate chip muffin was just okay. It wasn’t anything special honestly, but this is a coffee shop after all and not a bakery so that’s alright. Maybe you’d enjoy them more than I did. I recommend stopping here if you enjoy old buildings and good coffee. It’s also a local business unique to the city of Gardner and I go to these establishments over Starbucks or any other chain. They are just so much better at everything."

"I moved back to Gardner after living in KC for almost a decade, where there is a coffee shop on every corner. Groundhouse is elite tier, very thankful to have such an amazing coffee shop in town. Their drive thru location is so efficient, from order to pick up, I have never waited more than 3 minutes - MAYBE! Chorizo burrito is stellar. Every latte is amazing. My go tos are the chai latte, matcha latte add blackberry, and their seasonals are delicious! Amazing and quick service at both locations."

"Groundhouse Coffee and Bakery is the top spot for pastries, crepes and sweet treats in Gardner, Kansas! I ordered coffee and a lemon blueberry muffin for breakfast. The muffin was lightly crunchy on top and dense in the middle. The blueberries were sweet and extremely fresh inside of the muffin. Groundhouse is popular because of the crepes that are stacked high with goodies. Did I mention this is a great location for working remotely, having a quick business/work meeting, and for a date with your partner, family, and friends? Make sure to stop inside Groundhouse Coffee and Bakery for some delicious sweet treats!"

"I am visiting Kansas and wanted to try a new cafe. I’ve heard downtown Gardner was a great place to look and this was the first place I went. It’s very cute and has a great vibe. The only issue is that they have a beautiful menu of food shown all day that is not available after 10am. I learned later that they actually do have a ham and cheese turnover that could’ve been suggested to me, but salads and sandwiches in a cooler were suggested (not as appealing as the food on the menu so I declined). My recommendation would be to take down that menu after 10am. My eyes went on the menu when I first walked in and I was allowed to look at the menu long enough to decide what I wanted. It’s a big let down to be told the items I’ve set my heart (and hungry stomach) on are not available. My other suggestion would be to make a lunch menu if possible. I ordered a coffee in place of the food I was wanting, and asked for a suggestion. Caramel Lattes are the most popular coffee drink around America for sure, so that is what I was recommended. It was a 3/5 for me because it kind of just tasted like flavoring. I also got a cake, which was alright, not super moist. This review is just my honest opinion on my experience and the items I did order, 3 because it wasn’t bad and the place was clean and aesthetic. I also ended up going around the corner to Blazers to eat, not as healthy as Groundhouse food (which I was looking forward to because there isn’t as much healthy-advertised food in the mid-west, especially out in Gardner or Spring Hill) but was very good."
