"Happened to end up in Joplin, MO during a road trip and stopped at this place after seeing the billboard sign. The food was amazing, with savory flavor. French fry stacks sliced fresh to order. The mushrooms are made fresh and the beer batter is light crispy and flavorful. This place is busy on Friday nights so it wouldnt be a bad idea for reservations. If you end up in Joplin stop at this place you wont leave hungry."

"OH. MY. GOD. Delicious!!! I travel a lot for work and I've had bbq across USA. I was in Joplin and this place was recommended. It did not disappoint! The photo is from my visit last month. I am back in town and I ordered delivery. Again, consistently delicious! THE BURNT ENDS! So delicious!!! Get a slice of pie too! In person and on phone, the people are so NICE!!!"

"Our last night in the area during a business trip and we'd been recommended Big R's for bbq. Burnt ends, mac & cheese, and beans were my choice. Pretty good bbq, with a generous sized portion. For dessert I chose the caramel pecan pie, also really good, couldn't eat it all as too full!! Would come again."

"Great example of local BBQ. I was looking for a small local shop and found Big R's. Had the burnt ends which were incredibly smoky and a good tenderness. Sauce is very sweet, like a Kansas City style. Unfortunately I was too full to try the pie. It looks amazing."
