"I’m from out of state visiting family. I had an implant/crown come loose. I called the office and was greeted with a very helpful receptionist that scheduled me an appointment in about a week. Dr. Gilroy was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail using the X-rays that were taken. The diagnosis was discovered quickly and Dr. Gilroy tighten the crown successfully. "My teeth were bad! Really bad. Teeth that I had left we’re either broken or severely decayed. I have been going from dentist to dentist for years just pretty much doing damage control when I had pain. New to the Kansas City area a coworker referred me to Gilroy Dentistry because I had so much pain I couldn’t get through the rest of the day. I called and Dr. Geha worked me in. He decided that I had one last wisdom tooth remaining that was severely infected and needed to be pulled. So he did. Then it got personal. Dr. Geha asked what my plan was for my dental situation moving forward. And I said just yank them and dentures. It was the only thing I could see in my future. Many in my family did the same before me. After my comment, Dr. Geha looked at me, more as a person or a friend then a patient, and gave me a sincere answer. An answer that I wasn’t expecting. That he thought he could save them. And get me healthy again. He scheduled me two weeks later to come back for a full assessment. After many x-rays and evaluation, He explained a plan to save them and give me a whole new smile. Immediately thought in the back of my mind, yeah right, this is gonna cost a fortune. And I responded out loud. Then Dr. Geha asked, how much is your health worth? And I hadn’t really thought about that before. But I knew what he meant, he didn’t just think about my physical health and how the infection in my mouth was spreading all over and making me feel sick. He was concerned about my mental health as well and lack of confidence and the embarrassment I had from having such a terrible smile. Nonetheless, I work in sales. Dr. Geha then said I’m going to lay out a plan and schedule me back in two weeks and we are going to have a consult to go through the plan. Right then I knew my life was going to change. No other dentist I had seen over the past decade has ever asked these questions or offered a plan. So I came back. I was called to a conference room where the office manager, Dr.Geha, and Dental assistant Taylor met with me and went through the plan. Tears came over me, As they are now while I write this. They had a printed report, it was at least four pages, laying out every, root canal, extraction, crown, And other work I would need to renew my health and get my confident smile back. Along with the payment plan as to how we could make it work. More tears. It made sense to me. And we decided as a team that we could do it. And we did. As I sit today after about six months of 3 to 4 hour appointments two times a month you can see the difference by these pictures of how my smile and life has changed. My four kids notice my renewed confidence and complement me on my amazing teeth often. My coworkers notice, and I smile much more for my customers which in turn makes them smile. Dr. Geha, I can’t thank you enough. Your professionalism, expertise, bedside manner, patience, and true heartfelt love and care that you showed me through this transformation is above this world.
