"Here is my honest opinion and experience at Kiene Dental, I called there needing a root canal in late January, they let me know that they didn’t do root canals on the tooth I needed done but told me of a place that did. I went to the recommended endo; they did a fantastic job so I thought I would go back Kiene dental because they had recommended me such a nice place. From the start of my appointment, I was nervous dental work is never fun. I let the doctor know I had sensitive teeth, the whole experience was pain beyond a normal crown I was in tears, I asked the doctor to numb the roof of my mouth and when a topical didn’t work the doctor said there wasn’t much they could do. I was in a lot of pain, but we continued, towards the end of my appointment the doctor completely stopped and left the room with the nurse. I was still in tears talking to my fiancé who had been present for the whole process when the office manger walk into the room telling us the doctor would not be finishing, they informed me that I might have been having a flare up, mind you I was still in terrible pain four or five nurses along with her were yelling questions at us and telling us we could not leave and we would have to sign forms, then it went to she couldn’t let us leave because my tooth would ger infected to I had to leave to go see an endo, the whole thing sent me into a Panic attack in the room. I begged to leave and just be done for the day I was in pain beyond belief, they would not let us leave and kept asking me to just take a walk and come back. I asked for a refund and to please just leave, they would not let us. In the end it was decided that they would give me a crown to take with me to the endo. The only appointment the endo had was 4 hours from us leaving so I sat in pain for hours after leaving, on the way to the endo hours after my appointment at Kiene the office manager called me and let me know if I took done my bad review that they would give me a “full refund of and dismiss me as a patient” at this point I was in the parking lot of the other doctor still in pain and told her I would need to think about it because it was an honest and truthful review of my experience and what happened. For weeks ( 2.29 2:19 pm/ 3.5 8:46am-9:29am / 2.28 9:25am/ 2.23 9:22am/ 2.12 11:15am/ 2.9 12:15pm.) now I have been trying to reach out to talk this office manger and have only gotten voicemail until today where I was met with lots of attuited and “ we won’t me giving more than $$$” because you didn’t take your review down until the 2/29”. Which I respond to with why I would take my review down if I haven’t been able to get a hold of you. This is a long review but necessary to explain and hopefully help people from having a similar experience, the Dentist should be a place where you don’t have anxiety attacks and incredible amounts of pain. I’m extremely disappointed with their approach to customer service and to patient health. The dishonesty of people in charge of care and helping you to feel your best is appalling."
"I was a patient of Dr. Kiene's for the past 7ish years until recently. November 2023 I had to cancel a cleaning for a serious family emergency. I called back to reschedule and was told I couldn't get in until the new year. I couldn't wait that long. I called the beginning of the new year and was transferred to the hygienist for scheduling and then was proceeded to be put on hold for over 10 minutes. I tried calling back a few weeks later and the same thing happened. They never even came to the phone to schedule... It was very out of character... Today I get a text informing me that I'm 90 days over due for my cleaning. I was told I could be accommodated at an appointment in March... or not until the END OF MAY. They used to be great at accommodating their patients, especially with emergencies. But the customer service I've received has been so bad. I suspect there has been a lot of turnover. I'm looking for a new practice because I don't have time for the craziness. Dr. Kiene is wonderful and has always done great work for me. But the scheduling for teeth cleanings is insane now and it really shouldn't be this much of a pain."
"I never had dental problems until I started going to this dentistry. They told me I needed to get all this work done, so I listened to them, spent a lot of money, and now I have constant problems with the crowns they gave me. Just make sure you get a second opinion before jumping on the “everything needs to be replaced” bandwagon. My original teeth were more reliable. But in a positive and informed manner, they used every health insurance and then they sent me to another doctor to correct the mistake that the doctor made, and I paid money to another doctor."
"Everyone in this practice is very friendly. I felt very comfortable with the hygienist, she explained everything she did, Dr. Kiene was thorough and answered all my questions. I have experienced other dental practices that are high pressure to have fillings replaced, crowns replaced, whatever up-sell they can think of. None of that here, which I appreciate and respect."
