"I looked up Dave Raines Auto online and it said that they were open on Saturday from 9am to 12 noon. I drove from Sedalia to look at a 2006 Chevy impala which was on the web site,...but there were zero cars on the car lot that were on the web site. I sat in the lot for 10 minutes expecting someone who works there to show up but after 10 minutes i left the lot and drove around Marshall for a bit. I called several times and got the same answering machine. I was disappointed that there wasn't anyone there, also that the cars i was interested in weren't on the lot. Wasting our time this morning and I'm just posting this so hopefully nobody else does."

"A few months after leasing a vehicle, it broke down. My husband and I spent October of 2018 up to two weeks ago trying to get Joby and Dave to pick the vehicle up for repair but they never called us back or showed up. Finally, after finding someone to help us tow it to their lot, Dave decided he doesn't want to return the vehicle until full payment is made. However, it was agreed that no payments would be made until the vehicle was fixed, given that it broke down so soon after leasing. I would NEVER recommend purchasing a vehicle from Dave Raines Auto. Dave and his son, Joby, are not men of their word and went back on our agreement. After spending months reaching out and never receiving a call back, then having to tow the vehicle down their ourselves to be repaired, then to be told that they will not return it without full payment although the vehicle was out of commission nearly the entire time it was in our possession it has deterred me from making anymore purchases within Marshall limits. This makes for a bad image for a city that's already dying economically."
