"Cucumber salad did not disappoint! Had the Brisket chow mein was a little BBQ twist that I loved. Will definitely be coming back!"
"Why did I not come here sooner? The homemade soup dumplings were out of this world..... The peanut sauce ramen was also great. If you are a fan of Chingu, I believe you will also love this place"
"This restaurant is top notch. This was my first time having Taiwanese food and I’m in love with it. I live three hours away but am already thinking of coming back to KC just to eat here. Seriously, this hole in the wall restaurant is worth it. If you’re looking around at places to eat and are overwhelmed by the options, stop looking- eat here. You’ll be glad you did."
"This may be the most memorable, unique and delicious meal of my lifetime! I’ve never been one to go out for New Years or Valentines, but we celebrated the Lunar New Year by taking part in their special menu. IT IS AMAZING! And SO ORIGINAL. I’m stuffed because I had to eat everything presented to us at its freshest! Here is a picture of the main course. Every course came presented by the owner with a small explanation of its cultural significance. We love you and we’ll be back in 4 weeks and every 4 weeks after that! I also ordered their cocktail named To The Max. It’s a zingy boozy rum drink I liked enough to have twice. I give thanks to our ancestors and I’m sure to be blessed with prosperity in the new year!!"
"We had such high hopes for this place but were thoroughly disappointed. The Dan Dan noodles had so little broth it didn’t even cover the noodles, so I asked for a bit more broth. They brought out a small bowl that tasted so salty it was inedible. Furthermore, when the bill came we noticed an extra $5 charge for the small bowl of gross broth on top of the $18 for the original dish. Also, the waitstaff was MIA, so we had to go hunting for someone to help us several times. Frustrated, I went to the (not busy) open kitchen to ask for more broth and they were not very nice. The brisket noodles tasted salty and not much else. For $20 we expected a lot more. All the portions were also quite small — I have only ever seen kid’s portions of Taiwanese noodles that small. The pictures are taken from above the food so you can’t tell how shallow these bowls are. I will definitely tell my friends to skip this place. Chewology in no way represents good Asian food, let alone Taiwanese street food."
