"I ordered the pick three…a half Reuben and tomato soup. The soup was great and the Reuben was good. The strawberry rhubarb pie was very disappointing. It seemed like strawberry jam and stewed rhubarb mixed together. Very gooey with little substance. The crust was good. Service excellent."

"We became regulars here about six years ago. Overall, this is the best place for breakfast in the Kansas City metro, and if you arrive on a Sunday, you will see that a lot of people agree--because the place is packed. The food is always good to great (not the best biscuits & gravy, but they're decent), and even when this place is busy, you don't have to wait long for service and your food. I am flabbergasted that there aren't more Village Inn restaurants in the metro."

"I went to lunch with my daughter. I'd never been in the Village Inn despite working near it several times. It was quite tasty. I had the chicken fried steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The white gravy was excellent and plentiful. I had enough to cover the steak, mashed potatoes plus I had enough to sop my fresh biscuit. One daughter had baked chicken, potatoes, and green beans. The other had a chicken sandwich, crispy bacon and avocado and fries.. Everything was delicious. The waitress was fast and courteous, making sure we had what we needed. The chocolate, peanut butter pie with caramel drizzle was a great end to a wonderful meal. I had plenty of good coffee to go with my meal."
