"great store, ive had positive experiences here every time i come here! except, there was a short woman with dark hair was really rude to me the last time i came. i tried asking a question, but she brushed me aside rather rudely :( ill still be coming, but i would rather not go near the deli ever again"
"Love Kelly. Miss Doris. The bald Manager is cool (the M&M guy). One butcher ALWAYS helps me whether I need it or not. The only thing that I hate about the store is the pb. Their always save PB is $2.29 and Pete pan (at Walmart) is $2.19."
"Have you priced things lately? Things are high everywhere. However, $1.49 for a green pepper? Seriously, the same asking price for red and yellow (which are always more expensive). The produce at Moose's market is shameful and old, so old that the nutritious value is most likely lost. Despite the owners philosophy that the customers are old and where else are they going to shop needs to be confronted. I have heard this more than several times. The employees there are very nice and helpful, but I also hear they aren't treated the best either. Anyway, BBB is receiving a report and please, to make a change we have to change where we shop. Please try to do major grocery shopping elsewhere until Moose's Market becomes less selfish by cutting corners and price gouging. Be there for our community Moose's Market, I am sure you will still cut a profit, we just want fair prices and food that isn't going bad."
"I'll be honest, I have mixed feelings about this gorcery store. I've heard so many horror stories about the owner from so many people that I don't really want to support it, but on the other hand, this is a very small community, and we need a grocery store, so I have to support it to some extent. I feel that the prices in the store are really high most of the time, and it doesn't make sense to buy things there when I could just buy them during my bi-weekly trip to Blue Springs. The meat and ice cream are very expensive, but the produce isn't. I pick and choose what I buy from there, unless I direly need it and they don't have it at any local produce stand/farm or Walmart. Also, one day when I went in there, I was looking at their marked down meats, and some of them were already DAYS past their best by dates. I know those aren't absolute, but I wouldn't expect them to sell already expired foods, even on discount. Overall, it's nice to have a grocery store in the community, I just wish it wasn't this grocery store."
"Moose's is the worst grocery store. I used to work here. The owner ended up cutting my pay and ours because I had a family emergency. After taking one day off to go to the city to make sure my father was ok, she cut my pay and hours. I was not going to be able to pay bills with that. So I eneded up leaving the job. This is what they don't want you to know. The owner is always rude because she is always drunk. The prices are gorging high, especially meat. It's the only grocery store in town so they take advantage of it and make their prices high. The owner has yelled at customers and employees. She has employees that have worked there more than 20+ years and they still only work for $11-$12 or so per hour. The bathrooms are nasty, lots of items are expired and sold. I stopped shopping their after working there. She is a terrible person and doesn't care about the customers. I wish more people knew about the stuff that happens there. I pray we get a new grocery store in town."
