Reviews of Midas
"It would be five stars but they lied to me on the price, on the phone they said one price and then all of a sudden it goes up by 37$? Prices are still great but the lying is what I don’t like. But they finish fixing my vehicle within a decent amount of time"
"The prices are always fair and they are very honest and don’t try to sell you services you don’t need. The staff is always friendly and helpful too."
"I called Midas after getting a price at Firestone. Midas was less than half the quoted price at Firestone. They were helpful in giving advice and providing exactly what I needed and got the work done quickly. The staff was also very friendly, and my car runs great and I noticed the difference immediately."
"I have taken my BMW to get the oil changed here 3-4 times, not my latest visit on Nov 17, but the one before that, there was a mishap with a seal not being put back on the oil filter and caused a drivetrain malfunction error on my car, called them and told them and they told me to bring it in. I could either have it towed there at my expense if it wasn’t safe to drive or I could drive it but they claimed they would take no responsibility if something were to happen or breakdown even though they caused the issue. Okay, fine, one time problem (so I thought) that they did take care of and get fixed. Now my latest visit on Nov. 17th, they changed the oil and did the “vehicle inspection” paid the $105 and went back home, (30 minutes away) no problems, UNTIL Saturday the 18th. I get it in and start driving and here’s pops up the error of drivetrain malfunction. I call them, tell them about the situation and being the second time it has happened. They told me to bring it in and they would look at it/take care of it. So I stopped running my errands to take it in. They do get it resolved, but instead of any apologies or any accountability, I was informed that it has been documented in my file/notes so it shouldn’t happen again. I understand the first time being a mishap and I let it go. But a second time, no apologies, or anything. I can’t guarantee I’m the only BMW X5 that has been in, but I have a strong feeling I am not the only one they have worked on. So they should know, and if they are following the step by step guides as they service each vehicle, it should be known. And then to have a service manager do a “quality check” and still can’t get it right the first time. When I pay $105 for an oil change, I expect it to be done correctly. Yes, “I get what I pay for being cheaper than the dealership”, but I shouldn’t have to worry if I can trust a trained mechanic to do their job correctly. But I don’t like me having to waste an hour of my day driving, money in fuel for having to drive back to the store. Only reason I chose them was because I thought they were a reputable company that would know how to properly work on a BMW without driving to the dealer in either Columbia or Kansas City area. But I guess I will be looking elsewhere. No apologies, no accountability besides the acknowledgment that one of the techs knows what’s going on and is going to fix it, no reimbursement for my time, the service I paid to have done correctly, but for a second time to screw up and not really show concern to the customer. I’ll gladly spend $150 elsewhere so I know it gets done correctly and don’t have to worry if I will be able to make it to my next destination."
"I Highly recommend Midas! They got my car in the same day I called for a oil change and inspection. Very efficient with an emphasis on cleanliness and professionalism. Thank you Denise and crew for everything!"
