"Very disappointed with the customer service. My 15 yr old son went in to say hello to a friend who worked there and then tried on a pricey pair of boots. A retail worker approached him and asked if he was shopping alone. He said yes, she then proceeded to ask him if he had the money to afford the boots he was trying on. He said no (but in all actuality he does because he has a part time job and is getting good grades as a full time student) and she proceeded to tell him that he shouldn’t be walking around the store without parental guidance. She made him feel unwelcome and like he was doing something wrong by trying on a pair of boots. I was just in the next shopping complex attending to business. When he told me what happened I went in the store and asked for a manager. I informed her of my sons version of the event and she said that she was told that he threw the boots on the ground which was untrue. I told them I was really disappointed in how he was treated and that he had just bought a pair of $200 boots with his own money there in August and the worker made him feel unwelcome and it’s a shame he was made to feel that way because he’s a good responsible, respectful kid. Really shameful of the retail worker to jump to conclusions because he was a teenager in a store, not to mention she lied to her manager about the event. There are no signs posted about minors not allowed to shop without supervision. Nor is there a sign stating one cannot try on an expensive pair of boots if you may not be buying at that particular time as she suggested he wasn’t going to be. The manager said she was sorry he was made to feel unwelcome but it was not truly felt it was just lip service. My son is 15 and could have been a lifelong customer but he nor I will ever shop there again. Really unfortunate situation that could have been handled much more professionally with a different outcome."
