"I've pawn my stuff here several times always got my stuff had a rough cupl of months with my sister passing away and my ticket was up this Monday a day the pawn shop is closed and I called today which is Tuesday and he said he already pulled my stuff. What a shame he will never get my business I honestly would think if my ticket is up on a day the pawn shop closed it would roll over to the next day. And I had always and I mean always got my stuff out of pawn here I have never lost anything and he pulled my stuff over a day and a day the shop was closed. Beware don't trust this place"
"This is MY personal experience. I dealt with this place back in july-sept. When I went to pay for my stuff they had actually closed 20 minutes early, closed the next two days. I got in touch with the owner and he said yeah they had closed. I went in to pay that next day they were open and he had already pulled my stuff to be forfeited. He allowed me to pay for my stuff tho but he told me the next time that happened to get in contact with him so he won't pull my stuff. Well I got ONE message from magnolia pawn this month, not the ten that Tony had said I did, heck all the months combined I've ever even dealt with them don't total to ten, not even close. My text said the amount due & that forfeit date was 12/31. I assumed forfeit date meant due date.like if I hadn't paid by the end of that date then I forfeit my items. I've never had to do anything like this before. They were closed on that date as well as the next day, I called them a little bit before they opened the next date & was told instantly I had forfeited my stuff on Saturday that it was due then. My message from them had said I would forfeit it on 12/31 a date they were closed on & I did what Tony had said last time & that was to call him first thing that next day they were opened to talk to him. I tried explaining this all to him but he rather talk over me& say how last time I was 3 days late & he could have sold my stuff then and made plenty profit. Again. Last time they closed early & were closed those next 2 days so I wasn't late & he didn't either remember what he said to me or care i guess about calling him that morning of forfeit date and he would work with me. I wasnt asking for anything like can you wait till next week etc. I simply wanted to make sure he knew i was coming in to pay for it that day & not to pull it like he said to do last time. I never got ten messages for payment like he said i did. I only got the one message on the 29th with the only date saying i would forfeit on the 31stwent back on his word & i understood hvung to pay fee this all still has me so upset. I dont have family with money. I dont have anyone to rely on & moved two hours away to poplarville to start over new a couple tears ago away from all my friends/fam because poplarville seemed best to raise my two kids in. I got into a jam with my Ac catching fire & had to pawn my valuables. I really regret that i had trusted this place to be one of the better ones due to it being in poplarville & we actually know quite a few of the same folks & him saying i got more messages than i did & it being confusing regarding forfeit date/due date as nearly every business when listing a date like that if not paid by end of that dates business hours then its a done deal & him telling me how next time to give him a call (which i did before they opened 10 minutesbefore hoping they answered that early to avoud anything & to do what tiny said last time. Its easy to see how one could be confused & have a misunderstanding with it all. Hes not a franchise he is the owner and could be understsnding esp as i was a returning customer & ive always been polite and respectful vs him just repeadtly saying i got ten messages & it was forfeited over and over insread of allpwing me to hardly speak. I Had to just hang up because he wouldnt allow me to say all the above. I dont wish him any ill will & hope his business succeds for many more years. i just hope he realizes how one could be confused and misunderstand & him being the owner didnt have his hands tied he could have been compassionate & allow me to pay that day since my forfeit date was a date they were closed as was the next day & i got in touch with him before they opened that next business day. Also to check whatever system saying i got 10 messages for payment because ive only ever received one a month this time & months ago previous time. I'm so upset by all this. I thought i was doing right & now im without what was myonly backup plan for emergency. Great way to start 2024 all over a misunderstsnding."
