Ideal Cleaners & Shirt Laundry

"Extremely RACIST & RUDE! If I could give 0 stars to IDEAL cleaners, I would. I mostly go through the drive through when I used to do business here years ago. I just started back patronizing this place because it’s closer than Greenville. I went there this evening to take 6 pair of pants; mind you I’ve passed more than that my last visit through the window. The middle aged guy at the window; I don’t know his name but he had on a tight blue shirt with the arms rolled up was so aggressive and rude today. I gave him easy instructions (press 3 pair flat, I then passed him 3 more pair and asked to press them flat). He was visibly red in the face and shaken; mumbling incoherently and then told me that I should have came in with all of this. Then he asked my name; so I gave him my name and told him it’s only 6 pair pants and I told him I’ve passed way more than this minute amount through the window with no problem. I asked if he wanted me to come in? He said no. I then proceeded to ask him is there a problem because y’all he was complaining. I asked him what was the difference with me coming in for 6 pair of pants when all he was going to do was give me my ticket? He said some more things and I TOLD HIM THAT’S OKAY, JUST PASS MY CLOTHES BACK. He looked at me as if looks could kill and told me in a NASTY tone IF I WANT THEM TO COME IN AND GET THEM AND HE WALKED AWAY FROM THE WINDOW! I know if I were his race, he would not have spoken to me in this way, or REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY CLOTHES or MAKE HIS RACE COME IN AND GET THEIR CLOTHES. So I did. I told him I have done business with them for years and never encountered rudeness or racism there and I would most definitely give his racist self a review! The lady behind the counter is always nice. I’m glad I put the person I was on the phone with on hold, and they heard everything and is willing to vouch for me. Some of these businesses come in, get rich off of our community and treat us as if we are nothing when they feel they can get away with it. I pray the irate fellow at the window makes peace with whoever he is livid with because I’m not the one. I have receipts from when I passed more items through the window with no problem, and I’m sure they have cameras to verify this. DO NOT GIVE IDEAL CLEANERS ANYMORE OF YOUR BUSINESS IF YOU STAND FOR JUSTICE! Racism still permeates small towns like Indianola, Mississippi but it’s swept under the rug per usual. WE MUST TAKE A STAND! I don’t care what race a person is, if you mistreat me and I’m being nice and giving you my business then I take my business elsewhere. From now on, I will take my business back to Greenville where I deal with people of his race that are not racist and are professional and they do better cleaning of your clothing."
