"Lots of dogs and cats to choose from but not enough staff to help you adopt. Left empty handed even though there was a kitten I really wanted. Couldn’t find anyone to help me."
"Got my puppers Mar 2022! She is now a big sister and has an acre fenced yard to roam in. Spoiled rotten and misses the staff here everytime she visits! Love, Rhiver & her forever human-parents!"
"I'm utterly disappointed. I contacted PALS yesterday evening shortly before the shelter closed. I was informed that the agency had a small, black and white, kid friendly dog for adoption. Since it was near closing time, I informed the worker that I would come there the following morning. The next day, I visited the shelter, which opened at 10 a.m. I arrived around 10:10 a.m., and waited in my car while they opened up. Upon entering the facility, the dog in question was inside the kennel barking. Moments later, the female worker informed me that the dog had been adopted. This struck me as extremely odd, particularlly since I was the only customer there and the dog was available for adoption yesterday when the shelter closed. I'm uncertain if this was some sort of misunderstaning. But I felt as if I was being lied to and perhaps even discriminated against. PALS you MUST DO BETTER!!"
"They are truly doing God's work out there. The staff are devoted and hard working and despite all the challenges, the place is clean and organized and the animals are all happy, healthy and very well taken care of. I wish more people would adopt one of these animals rather that paying huge sums of money for some "pure bred" animal from a breeder who stands to make huge profits."
"I was on my way to an interview this morning and just down the road from this location I saw a full grown German Shepherd with a leash and collar in tow. I called PALS to report what I had seen and the lady was very courteous and nice and asked for some basic information about this dog. After my interview I called back to check on the status of this dog because I was still in the area and needed to know if I should be keeping an eye out for it. Another lady answered the phone and what started out as a innocent question "it's not your dog is it?" Soon turned to baselessly accusing me of abandoning this dog and trying to poke holes in my story. If you're reading this and you know me, you know I don't have a dog but I love animals. I found it very unprofessional and borderline hostile. I know she primarily works with animals, but this lady needs her people skills reevaluated."
