"I have been seeing Dr. Bishop for help managing my anxiety and depression and he has changed my life. I am now able to live my life in a fulfilling way when I could not before. Dr Bishop and his staff ensure a comfortable, safe environment and I have been treated with the utmost care."
"I was referred to Dr. Bishop by my PCP to taper off Gabapentin and to manage my medication for severe anxiety disorder. 1st visit I waited 2 hours and he spent about 15 minutes with me. Never looked at me. He typed on his laptop and every once in a while said, “mmmhmm”. Then stood up and said your medication has been electronically sent so let’s go get your printed list. That was it. I had to ask about the therapist they have when leaving for cognitive behavioral therapy and received an appt. Dr. Bishop didn’t even mention his therapist. About one month later I had a severe anxiety crisis/panic attacks and called and told to come in. I was a wreck. Pacing, crying, trying to breathe. I waited over an hour and when I saw him he spent less than 5 minutes with me, typing on his laptop, never looking at me and every once in a while said, “mmmhmm”. He stood up said he changed some meds, here you go and out the door. The new medications would not kick in for 2 to 4 weeks. Still do not understand why I was prescribed Depakote 500 mg 3 times a day. That was a Thursday. The following Monday I had altered mental status, slurred speech and bizarre behavior. I was admitted to St. Dominic for possible TIA. Tuesday neurologist told my husband it was all the medication and my liver couldn’t process the meds causing a high ammonia level (which you can die from). I have no memory of Monday and Tuesday. Hospital staff even told me to not go back to Dr Bishop. My husband called the office to let Dr. Bishop know what happened and spoke to Angie, Dr. Bishop’s nurse/office manager and I think she’s his daughter-in-law, who was extremely rude. If I could give 0 stars I would."
"Dr Bishop and his staff have no respect for their patients time. Took my father for his 3rd appointment there and waited for over an hour past appointment each time. Then you’re in and out with doctor in under 5 minutes. Just throws medication are you and doesn’t really address concerns. Finding a new doctor for my father’s dementia."
