Reviews of Hurricane Katrina Memorial
"Quite inspiring knowing how a cat 5 hurricane can do just like Camille in 1969! The precious things retrieved showing how God prevales! A little girls Angel wings encased in the memory bank display! Over 30' wave of destruction, unless you've lived here u have no clue!"
"Pitiful! I bet this memorial was really nice years ago. I had never been and was really looking forward to seeing it. I went around 2:30 pm on a Friday. There was a homeless man asleep and someone had taken a sledgehammer to the glass case. I wonder why no one cares about it anymore."
"Definitely wanted to stop by while visiting Biloxi during a weekend trip to see the names of those lost and pay our respects. We were definitely disappointed in the up keep of that entire block. Over grown grass and plants. Fading paint and the need for some pressure washing. It sorta looked like it may be a sleep area for the homeless although we didn’t see anyone. We never felt unsafe, just wished that it could be maintained better."
"Those that what to remember those that deceased due to a hurricane, there are a memorial area for those deceased as result of Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, Mississippi. It is eye opening to see the names of those deceased and some articles to remember the tragedy. Highly recommend that you visit this Hurricane Katrina Memorial."
"Very cool quick stop. The top of the memorial wall is representitive of the water level during Katrina. There is an encased art exhibit of things found in the debris that is emotionally provoking... And the revival of the trees into sculpture is beautiful and photo worthy."
