"We booked way in advance with some family members. When we got there, the first thing we noticed was in the parking lots there were several areas with broken glass. We realized real fast that someone had busted glass of the cars that were there and likely robbed them or stole the cars. Police were there later that day. We parked in the most visible spot possible in hopes our car wouldn't get robbed or stolen. When we got inside, we were waiting a long time in line even though we were next in line because there were multiple workers in the area but only one actually using a computer to check people in. Every other employee just stood around chatting. Right before we got checked in, another couple stormed over to the counter and said they were going into the room they booked and someone was already in there in the shower. Apparently they tried to put that new couple into a room already booked. We finally got checked in and got to our room. We had requested to be next to the room with our other family members and they assured us we were real close. Turns out they were way down the hall and the only way we were close was that we were on the same floor. In our room, there were crumbs in the bed and dried mascara on the bath towels. The room itself wasn't bad overall though. We gambled for a bit and the machines just ate our money. We ended up going over to the Gold Strike where we won a bit more often. When we woke up the following morning, I wandered down to sit in the check out area to relax with the sunrise. The entire time the front desk workers were gossiping about their co-workers and how they were getting blamed for stuff they didn't do. They sure didn't seem to care that a guest was nearby and could hear them talking like that. It was very uncomfortable so I went back to my room and left. Overall the room wasn't bad, just a touch dirty (lots of bugs dead in the window seals). The service was bad when we interacted with them. The UFC fights were being advertised on their big sign out front as the main entertainment to watch but when we went to watch them they were just on a small screen (among like 20 other screens, some being large screens) in the sports betting area and it didn't even have sound for them. It was very disappointing. I think if we ever come back here, we might stay in the room if its cheap enough but gamble somewhere else."
"We drove over four hours to do some gambling in Tunica. The first place we stopped was Sam's Town. We didn't have our Boyd card with us, so we went to the players' desk to get new ones. The person behind the counter rolled her eyes as we walked up and didn't greet us. We told her that we wanted to get a reprint of our players' cards. She just pointed to the automated kiosk. We went to the kiosk and put in our driver's license. The kiosk was for promotions and not a reprint. It referred us back to the player's desk. We just left."
"We are so disappointed in this place. It is in dire need of a remodel. We stay in places nationwide, and this is one of the worst. There is no ventilation in the casino. Slots don't hit, but the worst room we've ever stayed in! The bed was so bad, we almost left in the night to go somewhere else. Lumpy and no support. Torn wallpaper, holes in lampshades, toilet stained and gross. NEVER again. Please don't stay here."
"Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall made my Birthday weekend an excellent experience to remember. All the staff from the hotel, the casino floor and restaurants are great and the drink servers are all awesome. The burgers and philly cheese steak sandwich at Smokey Joe's are absolutely delicious. Thank you to all at Sam's Town for the work you do, which in turn, makes my monthly mini vacations here incredible."
"I checked into the property from 10/27/2023 thru 10/29/2023 . Upon getting to the hotel , you have to unload your vehicle and drive far across the lot to park , due to the parking lot being repaved . Upon entry into the room it is darkly lit . I went out to play and when I returned , I saw several ants crawling on the table . I killed those and went back out later . Upon returning to the room , ants were observed on the table , bathroom and ceiling . It was late and I didn’t notify the front desk . I killed these ants and went to bed . Sam’s Town is steadily spiraling down . The atmosphere and employees attitude make it seem as though it’s a FUNERAL HOME !"
