ECS Barracks

ECS Barracks is a school located at 352 5th Street in Gulfport, Mississippi, United States. The institution recently celebrated the opening of a new Expeditionary Combat Skills (ECS) student berthing facility at Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport. This three-story, 88-room building provides upgraded living conditions for transient deploying forces attending the four-week ECS training course. The modern and efficient building was designed to improve the quality of life for Sailors completing essential training. Despite challenges such as a pandemic and hurricanes, the facility was successfully completed by NAVFAC Southeast and EMR, Inc. Each room is shared by two service members and includes amenities such as walk-in closets, a service area with a microwave and refrigerator, and a private bathroom. Occupants have access to laundry facilities, vending machines, recreation rooms, and housekeeping services. The mission of ECS is to provide Seabees with the necessary combat skills training for high-risk security operations in NECC or NSW organizations.
