"Recent college grad with an AAS degree here. I know the beard story is two years old, but it seems frankly ridiculous honestly. How does a beard distract from a learning environment or graduation ceremony? Why is the administration so fearful of facial hair? I will be satisfied and give more stars when the pokicy is repealed, and or there is a change in leadership."
"Your administrator/administration and rules are petty and do not uplift and celebrate the achievements of your students. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, including the adults who knew about this and did not speak up in advance. Rules are guidelines...not laws. Clearly this "clean shaven" rule was not enforced prior to graduation day, so why now? Stop your fronting & hating. Re-examine your intentions and goals for your students! You went a long way to prove a point about a silly rule....This ain't just about hair!!!! You gonna learn today! SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!"
"This is the most disrespectful thing every! Parents pay a lot of money to see there child walk across the stage. You strip him from that experience over a something that is so irrelevant to his ability of being a scholar student. I believe that the administration should truly be looked at and reprimanded for this display of ignorance. There is no way that this experience will every happen again for this young man and I wish all blessings to him and his family. It is sad that he went to a school that shows none of the quaility that this young man contribute in his 4 years of attending. This administration is a total disgrace to many. I really hoe you pay for this!"
"How dare you keep a stellar student from walking across the stage at graduation over facial hair? Like really I swear K-12 educators are the stupidest people on the planet. Who was this student hurting with his goatee? What did it matter. 4.0 GPA and he couldn't march over facial hair? He's a young man with a bright future and you disrespected everything that he worked so hard for. Why do you want so much control over what student's do with their own bodies? His facial hair was and is none of your business. I hope that whoever did this is thoroughly reprimanded."
"Not allowing the valedictorian to walk across the stage is yet another example of administration failure. People like you are why kids don't have respect for authoritive figures. I believe rules should be followed, but with an inconsistant administration, there brings confusion such as this. The worse part about this is that you didn't have the decency to make an announcement to the graduates in a timely manner to explain that although they may have been allowed to have a beard etc throughout the year, school officials are enforcing the rules at the graduation ceremony. Had this been announced during the graduation practice, over the school intercom, or even included as a type written note in the graduation packet, this foolishness would have been avoided and would have given each student a chance to digest the information long enough to make a decision as to whether they wanted to attend or not. But the clowns had to perform and turn one of the best experiences in a young persons life into a disappointment and yet another reason to view adults as the dismal idiots they portray themselves to be. A bunch of educated idiots."
